@Patrick - Think of us as a labor Union, not a 19th century American political group. |

1. A distinct accusation. What rule did they break?
2. Roblox’s evidence of them breaking the rule. Chat logs? Forum thread? Suspicious activity?
3. Give the user a fair chance to defend themselves. If the user has evidence to prove that the evidence is inconclusive, allow them to provide it and have it fairly examined."
Hey there,
We already do all of this.
1. When your account is moderated you get a message from a moderator as to why.
2. In almost all cases, you get a copy of the forum message, chat log, image, etc. that resulted in a moderation action. There are some exceptions to this, in which case you'll either get additional language to explain the moderation action or if the image or text is extremely offensive or inappropriate it will not be displayed to protect a user in the case an account may be compromised.
3. We have an appeals process. If you think your moderation action was not fairly applied, you can write to [email protected] to have it reviewed.
In regards to your original post, we do agree that the forum experience and moderation can be better. We're already working on those improvements! Although I don't have any further information to share about that at this time, it's definitely an improved experience we want too. So keep a watch on our site and blog for updates. :) |

@Tom - Thanks for the response! It's good that this is getting some attention.
I have seen some very vague moderation notes from multiple people, but it is true that moderation notes are given.
I suppose that the true problem lies in the appeal process or the 3rd requirement I gave in that section. I realize that there is one in place, but it seems to be incredibly ineffective at the moment. I realize that it would be financially unreasonable to ask that Roblox increase the number of people working on appeals, but something has to be done more than a quick gloss-over.

@Tom
That's true, but only to some extent. There seems to only be roughly 10 or less categories for moderator notes (with exceptions of pretty unique ones like these that I've gotten in the past "Do not create plug ins that spam the forums.", "Do not post unreleased items. This is your only warning before your account is deleted.", and a few others I've gotten), and many of the times when there is confusion, it's because no rule-breaking content is included in the ban, so users don't even know what they're banned for - there have even been bans with moderator notes as vague as "Don't violate the ToS of ROBLOX" (to paraphrase)
I think they need to be much more exact, maybe even state which rule has been violated

Agree with the more trade slots part of #1. Trading groups and game rights should be avoided imo. Maybe at a push selling groups/ game rights could work? Not 100% on that.
#2 is a very tricky problem which can't honestly be properly addressed. Increasing tax & lowering daily stipends would punish the poor more than the rich. More items every month (assuming that means more limiteds every month) would give the richer better opportunities to earn more and very likely increase inflation (to a certain extent).
Agree with #3
Inexperienced with #4 so no comment for that one.

I was terminated In 2012 with the only reason being "don't scam others on roblox!"
I didn't scam anyone, I have no idea WHY it happened and roblox as ignored every single one of my appeals
I didn't get sent any proof, and to this day I have no clue why my account is gone... Did I own an item that had been recently scammed? Did someone accuse me and roblox terminated with no evidence at all?
I sign this petition and I really hope something can be done about unfair terminations Because they happen much too often to people who don't deserve it.
Not to mention people who are guilty of exploits and scams are appealed all the time With far more review than I ever received |

@Milk - That is exactly the reason that we need a due process system here. |
