In the beginning, there existed two known beings. They do not have a set name, but they are often referred to as Space and Time. Together, they are referred to as the Primes. The two lived in a coexistence with each other, for Space would create and allow destruction, and Time would destroy and allow creation. These aspects of them eventually became of meaning once their Creation began. The two, relative to their creation, were perfectly balanced. They are treated as a singular being and a singular aspect to go alongside it, mysterious forces that eventually were treated as Arcane forms of energy and other "pure" magic forms. They had decided that Conflict would be the focus on their creation, so they created the Light and Dark praetors. These two beings and aspects were different sides of Space and Time's balance. While Light showed the truth and burnt through deception and scheme, it tended to sugar-coat it's meanings and would often force unwanted information into the darkness. The Dark aspect, on the other hand, was riddled with schemes, ruses, and hidden meanings, but it also was apparent that it showed the most profound and brutal of truths, sometimes even the very ones Light tended to avoid. The stage had been set with these three high beings, but it soon became apparent that there was no battleground to allow this conflict to exist. This lead to the creation of the Four Elementals and their elements of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Through them, the known universe was created. Each god being has a respective aspect or element they presided over. This eventually lead to mixes of aspects. Magic users often take advantage of the influence these beings give off to the world, even mixing aspects to make new ones. One example might be the mix of opposites Water and Fire to create Blood. In this experimenting, another part of the creation became apparent. It was seen that if a being were to become powerful enough in an aspect, mixed or original, they would become the Deity of that aspect and live with godlike status. These Deities served as reachable god ranks as much as they served as controllers and sustainers of their aspect. Another magic experiment lead to the discovery of one final known aspect form, Ether. The discovery of Ether has brought up many debates and questions. Some say that while pure magic and Arcane belong to Space, Ether belongs to Time. Others argue that Ether is a glimpse into the kind of existence the two Primes are in. There is yet to be a full understand of Pure/Arcane magic and Ether. All that is known is that the two have an intimate relation.
