The Guerrilla Movement
After coming back and seeing the current clan state, it seems that things are progressively getting worse and everyone is trying their hardest to find a solution to that problem. Here is my input on the matter.
The Guerrilla Movement is a movement to bring back old fashioned clan activity.
"But Lagg, what do you mean?"
I mean this. If your clan isn't doing anything, patrol base. If your clan is training, finish it with a raid. How does this help? If you have people at your base then you'll be raided. It'll increase activity both ways. People will patrol if they know there is a possibility of being raided.
"What good is this system if all it can do is get us raided?"
You can be the one doing the raiding for one. For two, what it also does is help build your clans community. Your members will bond at base. A lot of clans may boast good activity, large numbers, or skilled soldiers. Not many however can boast about their clans community. Thats a component thats lacking in most clans. What got me into clans was the community and friendships I built while in them. So while it may seem trivial, just patroling your base is a big deal.
"Why is it called The Guerrilla Movement if all it's doing is getting people to patrol their bases and raid more often?"
Because you're not expecting the raids. They can come whenever. So it's like guerrilla warfare, but amongst clans.
"How does this movement affect my clan?"
If your clan is patrolling base and you get raided, you meet new people. These new people might like your clan after raiding it and they might join. Also, if you guys are patrolling base, random people might show up. Recruit these random people, expand your clans community. Every person you personally recruit into a clan builds onto the clans community.
"Why do I care about community?"
Your clans community reflects highly on how people view your clan. You can be the most skilled clan ever, but if the people in it are all rude and mean then why would someone join?
If you support this idea, spread the word. The more clans we get, the easier this idea will be for everyone. Tell me what you think of it I guess.

It's still better to try. The reason it's hard is because of low activity and low group enthusiasam. |

Patrolling ended in most clans around 2013. Not too sure why though. |

Patrolling used to be an event that clan's hosted. The reason why they don't do it anymore is their member size is large enough to provide enough recognition that they're being raided. I only see small clans do it anymore. |

Size doesn't matter if there is no on at their base.
Also, it's not just about getting raided to improve activity. It's about getting your members to socialize with each other, to bond, to become friends. It helps with clan chemistry and improves over all team work while in combat. |

I'm not sure about other clans, but back in 2012-2013, I never hosted patrols, it was just something members did on a daily basis. People don't patrol anymore because it's boring.
