Backstory
In the year of 2270 AD, the Federation encountered a strange wormhole in the middle of the capital city, Aurae City. The Scientific Inquiry was sent to investigate, and discovered that the wormhole was connected to another universe. This sparked excitement among the scientific community, but caused worry for the Federation government.
Suddenly, the attacks began. A huge army of fantastical creatures emerged from the wormhole. The creatures, such as orcs, goblins, dragons, and giants, devastated the city blocs. Soon after, a seemingly medieval army emerged, and began to occupy the area near the Schism.
The Federation Armed Forces was notified, and the Army was called in to drive the invaders out. The battle was long and bloody, as the enemy forces apparently possessed magic as well. Even the AERIS Division was deployed, which proceeded to attack the enemy forces.
Hours later, the invaders were finally driven back into the Schism, which still stood in the middle of Aurae City.
The Federation decided to send an Expedition into the Schism, so that they could recon the area and prevent another attack. Months of preparation later, Expedition Force Omega was prepared, and was sent into the Schism.
It would be the start of the Fractured War.
Factions
The Federation
The Federation, officially named the Federation of the Sigma Sector, evolved from the early colonial governments set up by Earth. After the United Nations declared the Sigma Colonies independent, the colonists wrote a constitution for the creation of the Federation. Ever since then, the Federation has been a successful union of the various planets in the Sigma Sector. Several wars have been waged as a result of Separatists, but most of them have been put down.
AERIS Division
The AERIS Division is a separate part of the Federation Military. Within the Federation, special mutations occurred as a result of several solar flares. These mutations allowed for special abilities to manifest within individuals. The Federation quickly recruited these individuals for the AERIS Division, where they undertake the missions that most cannot. In addition to their powers, they posses the most advanced personal armor in the FAF, the HAVOK suit.

Expedition Force Omega
The armed exploration group organized by the Federation. Consists of the Marine 1st Battalion, AERIS Division, Mobile Armor Division, Expedition Inquiry Group, and Army Engineering Corps. Their mission objective is to explore the new world beyond the Schism, and send back reports on the inhabitants. If attacked, they have the authority to attack back. In addition, they are to establish a peaceful settlement for future expeditions.
Empire of Terrarum
Founded by the 5 Legendary Kings: KaMando, NaMasta, DaIro, RaLapo, and MaKipu, the Empire is the strongest nation in the world of Terrarum. All other nations are tributaries, paying their tribute annually to appease the Empire. The Royal Family descends from the 5 Legendary Kings, and possess some of the strongest magic powers in the entire Empire. Currently ruled by the Nobles, after the invasion of the Empire. Although the Empire remained, the current Emperor Ekran is a mere puppet of the Nobles.
The Nobles
A mysterious people from beyond the Forbidden Sea. At first, they appeared to be friendly towards the Empire, arriving on the Western Shore. Soon after, the main invasion force struck, and the Imperial Army was on the run. The Nobles possess the most powerful magic that Terrarum knows, and decimated any armed resistance the Empire threw at them. Subjugating the Empire, and expelling Emperor Eltas IV, the Nobles divided the land amongst themselves to rule. The Nobles are lead by the Noble Lords: a council of the most powerful of Nobles.
DaIro Corps
An elite division of the Imperial Army. the DaIro Corps is consisted of Nobles only. The Corps is the personal hit squad of the Noble Lords, conducting personal hit missions to keep the pheasants in check. In addition, they are used to spy on the Loyalists, the remaining soldiers under Eltas IV, and attack them regularly.

Loyalists
Followers of the deposed King Eltas IV, they continue to serve the King. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the Loyalists continue to rebel against the Lords, mostly through small raids on outposts. Once part of the elite King’s Guard, these soldiers are still a force to be reckoned with. While not possessing magic on the level of Nobles, the Loyalist Mages are one of the most powerful human mages in all of Terrarum.
Roles (Federation/Terrarum)
Specialist/Huntsman
Highly trained scouts. Carries minimal equipment to facilitate easier movement.
- Specialists are known to carry a small Type-3 HoloPistol, GPS marker, long-range communications radio, Type-45 HoloSniper, and a handheld translator.
- Huntsmen are known to carry a small magic-infused dagger that enables the use of low level spells, an enchanted bow, a map of the target area, a horse for transport, and a guide depending on the mission.
Operative/Knights
Best known for their offensive power. Carries the most damaging weapons and can be found on the front lines.
- Operatives are known to carry a Type-4 AutoPistol, long-range binoculars, Type-50 HoloRifles, Disintegration Grenade Mk2, and a combat suit.
- Knights are known to carry a magic-infused longsword that enables the use of medium level spells, a dagger for close quarters, a full suit of armor, and potions for healing.
Support Gunner/Battle Mage
The backbone of the fighting force. Provides support to the fighting forces. Heavily armored to continue providing support.
- Support Gunner: 200-round Type-40 Holo-MG, Type-12 Grenade Launcher, Mk.5 Mortar, and field medical kit.
- Mage: Staff: used for high level magic. Summoner: Can summon a horde of minions (goblins, ogres, etc.) under the summoner’s command. Mana potion: to recharge mana. Health potion: Used for healing allies and self
Spells (Exclusive to Terrarum)
Casting limits:
Low-level - 10 spells before 1 hour cooldown
Medium-level - 20 spells before 1.5 hour cooldown
High-Level - 40 spells before 3 hour cooldown.
A level higher can use spells of lower levels as well
Low-level spells (Huntsman)
1) Minimize : cloaks the presence of the user for about 10 minutes
2) Blink : teleports the user 10 meters away. no wind up
3) Facade: Disguises the user for a short time (20 minutes)
4) Absorption of Mana: Replenishes energy when weakened. Can only be used twice a day.
5) Scorn of Magic: deploys a anti-magic barrier (10 minutes). Used for escape
Medium-level spells (Knight)
1) Meteor: fires a flaming ball of fire. explosive on contact or timed. can be guided
2) Spellshield: Counter magic. Creates a shield that negates magical attacks (1 second)
3) Warp: Switches places with a friend during combat (1 second)
4) Wave of Rejuvination: Heals nearby allies. Not as effective as Mage-Magic. (2 seconds)
5) Electric Charge: fires off a barrage of lightning bolts against enemies. lightning can be passed through enemies as well (3 seconds)
High-level spells (Battle Mage)
1) Elemental Hail: fires off a barrage of fire-infused hail upon the enemy. effective against enemy formations.
2) Deception: confuses targeted group of enemies. makes them think that each other is enemy
3) Sunfire Orb: launches off a gigantic energy blast. (1 minute wind up)
4) Flame Flux: Summons 30 demon soldiers. attacks targeted target first, before attacking other enemies. can only be used once per day
5) Replenish: heals and replenishes strength to nearby allies. up to 50 people can be targeted at once. (10 second wind-up)
