with the emergence of tyrod taylor, he wont switch positions. whether he's successful or not is yet to be seen. |

He's nothing special as an NFL prospect at QB, probably a 4th or 5th round talent.
He could definitely switch, as he's been one of the most athletic players on TCU for a long time and even played at WR and fielded some punts in his Sophomore year.
There's really no way to tell though because it depends what position his heart is set on |
moldy you can shut up because nobody expected tyrod to be as good as he is currently
stop making outrageous lies. they dont have to be apart of your life any more. |
I didn't expect him to be as succesful as he is now, but i did expect him to be able to play in the system and i wanted him on the eagles
that is a believable statement
tyrod in chip kelleys system would be greatness |
Pretty sure there was plenty of articles saying that the eagles should sign tyrod taylor aswell.
I keep asking if trevone boykin is capable of playing in the NFL because by his highlights and his college games he looks like a perfect fit |

" he looks like a perfect fit"
What makes you say that? He's
1. Small
2. Doesn't have a huge arm
3. Doesn't put a lot of zip on the ball
4. Plays in an offense that involves a lot of short, quick passes where his receivers do most of the work |
The ability to Zone read and hes a dual threat QB?
Yes his WRs do alot of work but so does he |
@jimbo
have you even seen the eagles offense? thats exactly why hes a perfect fit |

"The ability to Zone read and hes a dual threat QB?"
So basically nothing that has to do with throwing the ball?
And yeah definitely, all the top QBs in the NFL are dual threat, right
"have you even seen the eagles offense? thats exactly why hes a perfect fit"
So 1 team out of 32? |
yes me and moldy are talking about how he would fit in the eagles offensive scheme. |

i didnt pay attention to him before he went to the bills but after spending a week in buffalo and getting to see him in training camp, i knew he was going to be good. i even argued on here that he would be good. |
@bro
was talking about him out of college |

Obviously dual-threat, zone read QBs are going to have more success in Philadelphia's offense than others. If this is what you guys are discussing there's 0 point in making this thread
If we're talking about every other NFL team, no he is not really a fit. See my reasons stated above |
@Jimbo
what seperates the way Oregon used mariota from the way tcu uses boykin |
@jimbo
other than the arm strength the same was said about tyrod taylor coming into the draft
also, not all NFL starting QBs have strong arms. (see: brady, peyton, bridgewater) |
Yes because teams do not change their offenses to suit their QBs
no way @Jimbo |

If you're going to say that Brady does not have a strong arm, I'm going to have to respectfully question your knowledge of NFL quarterbacks
And to answer your original question about Oregon vs TCU @ Moldy:
The two offenses are fairly similar. A lot of short, dart passes that let receivers do some of the work. However, Mariota had much more free reign than Boykin had. A lot of Boykin's plays involved hiking the ball and immediately swinging it wide to the designated receiver. A lot of swing passes and screen plays were designed for Mariota, but he had the option to run or look for a deeper target as opposed to Boykin who had to follow the strict play design.
I also think that Mariota is a safer runner looking at the tape. Boykin will pull off bigger more flashy runs some of the times, but I think he's more at a risk of injury than Mariota |
Yes but there is no reason why he can't excel in an NFL offense and that's what your trying to imply. |
