Well mityguy that is indeed correct. A color definer does in fact have only 20 buttons that simply add 20 different colors chosen to a palette in order to save them for use. However also with a color definer you end up having to use html color coding instead of the basic 3 value system defining red, yellow, and blue. Or in Roblox's case, Red, Green, and Blue.
And relax guys, I stopped caring about what tofwap thinks. His ego is so big it doesn't even fit on a baseplate.
Anyway, I love all the support y'all have given me on this thread. It really shows that the majority of Roblox agrees with me that making the building options for players broader makes the game more fun.

actually it doesn't defin all colors. there is a near infinite possibility of colors
that pallete just defines the most common ones as well as a lot of them
and lastly, there are a lot more brick colors than you think
the paintbucket tool in studio has a lot of the colors but there is a decent thirty to fifty colors that have to be created via script
if want i made a model that has a brick for every possible brick color in roblox. i did it by using a for loop to cycle through all the brick color values. 0 to 256
i think maybe a little higher
and that didn't even get all of the colors. i saw colors missing that were in the paint bucket tool such as really red and really blue
go hunt through my models for a brick color wall if you want to see it |

i do like the color mixer thing, and @tofwap
if a color is not registered as an actual brick color the brick color defaults to
a light grey of sorts in other words colors three still doesn't give you the infinite possibilities that lighting does

use the command bar if you don't want to use a script and even if you did use a script it would be simple enough just o have it change the bricsk color and then deelte it's self. scripts only cause lag when theres a lot of them with a lot of coding. that there takes two lines of script |

This is not a thread asking for help. This is a thread suggesting to Roblox that they should add a Color Definer.
The best way to explain this is to open up Microsoft Paint, click Colors in the toolbox, click Edit Colors, and then finally click Define Custom Colors.
This tool defines the Hue, Saturation, and Luminescence of colors as well as 3 3 value system for Red,Green, and Blue. It also lets you find the shade of that color that you want. It's a perfect tool that can be easily used in scripting if it were added to the game.
What I don't understand is why would Roblox not add this to the game when it would open up so many possibilities in the world of color, and yet they added a stupid SkateboardPlatform that doesn't even do anything. Your character falls through the platform and you cant even drive it, even with wheels on it. failure |

i agree, roblox was trying to get a new gear, and failed, so, if they come to their senses and make this a gear, i say that all the suporters of the original idea deserve to get a gear version of it =-D PS. im not saying this cuz im selfish, im saying it cuz i think we should be the beta testers for it. |

Actually XDRONEX I didn't mean for this to be a gear. This suggestion was meant to replace BrickColor, TeamColor, and Lighting colors so that we have a broader range of colors. So in short it is meant to go under Properties. |

btw, I DO Support, however, because colors, transparency, and reflectance are all visual filters for the same mesh, it'll be much more laggy, and may have to sacrafice transparency and reflectance detail. |
