I know I have an obsession, but it was only $15. Some average keyboards at Wal-Mart don't even get that low. Anyways, I got a really nice and vintage one for $15. The cord is cut off, but that's not something soldering can't fix. Was this a waste of money, OT? Should I go get professional help? ot's official computer nerd

You know how you press down on a key and you just feel a *bump* then the key collapses? Mechanical keyboards, depending on the variant you get, feel more like pressing down on a spring. You know how your mouse clicks? Imagine that click, but with more of a springy feeling and a nice tactile *bump*. And that's how every key feels. Not only that, but with mechanical keyboards, you can get custom keycaps, you can modify them, sell them (they get high demand on eBay), etc. ot's official computer nerd
