We are setting personal bias aside and providing an impartial judgement when deciding on the individuals we will invite. You need to have a substantial clan history in notable clans and be able to provide a unique perspective at the conference. |

Who decides what clans are notable?
It will always be bias and unfair for any specific individual to be left out. This conference is about the clan world, but you do not include the entire clan world. |

Clan aren't really dying out, ro-nations are better than ever at the moment, clans like SPQR, etc are doing fine, Star Wars groups are starting to sprout, it's really just us futuristic type, you know what genre I'm talking about type clans that aren't doing so well.

The conference is about the clan world, discussed by individuals who have made significant contributions to clans and have an extensive history of affiliation with clans, all while able to provide their own unique perspective on the matters being discussed. Biased or not, we will produce results. |

This won't work for so many different reasons. First, I've never heard of death, so what makes him fit to lead an embassy? Second, invitation only won't do it. You could leave out so many important key factors and invite the ones that won't do crap. Invite the leaders of famous groups, invite those that C&G everyday...there will ALWAYS be that key factor left out. I mean ffs i'm just hearing some new groups and they're all over the place. Having someone invite only the biggest groups like SCR and Vak won't cut it. My last point is: Who wants a guy leading a group that spelled additional Adittional? |

Amusing to see that since I've been inactive the clan world has basically ceased to exist. An interesting trend. Personally my opinion, I would be happy to see the clan world die out - replaced by teams with a competitive aim, like something touched on with the RCL summer season, battle network etc. But of course on going and continuing to create a purpose of no lifing and grinding it. The problem is there aren't enough competitively high leveled players, when there are for some reason they love to stack together to remove any kind of challenge or fun, I use pspmc as my example. The problem with the existing clan model is all clans are actually so small they are based around a few members, usually a leader who has gained influence by the fact he is usually slightly older, this leads clan leaders to be volitile in activity, with age comes responsibilities and priorities which is why so many leaders quit after taking on the challenge of leading. MrZelo, lordvydrak, smog, jga1 really I could go on and on. So problem with the clan model is it exists on leaders, who come and go all the time. There needs to be a form of system, friendship based team wise in my opinion, that players compete in in a kind of ongoing league. There needs to be a number of things incorporated into this, with RCL the problems I addressed earlier exist, there are too few skilled aimers on the game. So I'm talking a number of activities players compete in in order to win. It would take a lot of brain storming, but rebooting the whole clan system in my opinion would not be a long term solution. Don't forget when consulting clan influentials you are dealing with people like Vaktus who use grammar on steam and isolaytor who meets up with girls in real life from other countries. Did I mention polymorphic who tries to chat to boys on steam. Paul who pays for girls builders club. The solution is a form of development which captures the devotion and attention of clanners. |

Is this really happening. The clan world is letting someone with less than 200 post, who is also unknown, hold an event that will most likely fail? GG I thought there were smarter people out there. |

honestly a huge issue is the fact that hardly anyone new is being brought into clans at all, due to the rise in powerclans and people shaming methods of gaining new members like vip recruiting. if we want to help get things moving, we need to bring more people into the community rather than just using the same recycled people over and over again. people are creating groups with new names, but they're really just the same clans as before.
we also need to put a focus on building a community and doing things internally rather than just war every punching bag in sight (clans like rsf, tra, etc). not that war is a bad thing, but a lot of clans (mostly power clans) don't try to build any community whatsoever. they just take good fighters and war a bunch of people then die off in a few months to a year. it's not a good way to sustain a group.
we also need to find a new way to handle war. we need to stop having wars that can end in a week. wars need to be engaging, and we need specific rules outlining how they should operate, maybe even a set of universal war terms |
