If god is so nice and powerful why does he let greed and corruption happen, or war, or world hunger. Why P.S i am a catholic. But i personally believe god left us with a figment of himself and went to another planet.

Because without evil for good to destroy, there would be no purpose in life.

God is nice because he allows us the freedom to choose to be greedy and corrupt, the right to choose to wage war, and the right to not feed other countries. I'm not religious, but I like freedom. 'Murica

Say we created a robot and made it live us. It's not true love because we made it love us. God wants true love so he let us have a choice in either good or evil. Some of us reject him and some of us accept him.

@Wolf, Is it coincidence that me and your dad said the same thing? Is it coincidence that we've both been with your mother? Maybe. Maybe not. *INCEPTION HORN*

If you take a completely perfect world; no wars, no world hunger, the incapacity to be greedy or become corrupted, then >nobody< would worship a God who's mission is to save his people from an impending eternity in a place he does not want us to end up in. Why? Because we wouldn't if we did not come to witness such things. And it's through prayer that we talk to God and >hope< that things such as what you listed will some day end.

This is the problem of evil and its entry level philosophy. The general argument is that God is not required to do anything paradoxical to be all loving, knowing and powerful. Since having free will and there being no evil is paradoxical, God doesn't need to address both of them. The most loving option is free will, therefore we have free will and evil can exist.

I attempted to answer your question from the a distilled version of the Catholic theologian Thomas Aquinas, but I was thwarted by ROBLOX's censor. Instead, I will recommend that you read the pertinent section (Question 49, the Cause of Evil and Question II, Article 3 "Whether God Exists") of his Summa Theologica. I apologize that I couldn't get a simplified version across, but these will serve to answer your question.
