On the second shuttle, Armand was paying attention to the captain of Fireteam Nexus. I was a lieutenant, but really I was little more than a foot soldier in truth, having just gotten out of the academy. Lots of veterans from the Fractured War, as they called, it, happened some thirteen years ago. I was an outsider, and had no special bonds yet, so I decided my best chance would be to act professional rather than butting in on others. With my helmet transparent, giving the appearance of just not being there, I turned to the captain. "Sir, any word on what's going on down there? I heard something about a Crepitus, whatever that is, and some bible babble, but nothing about what's really going on. They tell you anything?"

Nathan "As of now, we have no indications on what the message within the signal meant. That's why we're being sent to Cesena-01, right out the window. The message sounds like crazy talk to me, but something about the tone just isn't right." I grabbed my HoloRifle and walked to the cockpit, where the pilots were making adjustments for an orbital insertion. "What do we have?" "Sir, it looks like we'll make it in orbit within 5 minutes. There seems to be an unusual activity on the moon's surface, but it probably won't affect our ship." "Alright." I turned back towards the soldiers in the transport bay. "Orbital insertion is in 5 minutes! Prep for landing soon!" Grabbing my own helmet, I gathered up Fireteam Nexus. "Let's do this like we always have, Fireteam Nexus. Tim, you take point if I get incapacitated in some way." "Yes sir." "Let's do our thing." (EMP blast is coming soon now)

Daichi Alright, I think the mission is go now. Fireteam Kronos regrouped and prepared for the landing. Chris grabbed his HoloRifle and put his helmet on. The E-Shield was working fine on my armor, which gave me some measure of security. "Captain Walker. Just like the old times, isn't it? This is nothing to what we faced thirteen years ago." (hopefully I'm not being too brash)

"Ready to go." Armand said, grabbing my HoloRifle and shifting my helmet back to opaque. Checking the rifle's stability and (charge? Ammo? What kind of weapon is this?) just like the academy teachers said. After that, I try some basic shifting exercises, letting one part of my body after another transfer into an energy phase. Once that's done, I phase out fully and test the cloak weave in my armor, disappearing from view and any other sensor anyone else in here would carry.

(HoloRifles use holographic ammo-packs that slide in like traditional magazines) Pilot #1 Orbital insertion was complete. All I need to do now is to pinpoint the LZ, so that I could perform a retroburn for re-entry. Wait, what was that on the scanners. "Co-pilot, could you check the scanners. I think they are acting up again." "Sure... Wait, this can't be right." "What?" I turned my head up in horror, only to see a large, blue EMP storm headed straight for the transport. "BRACE FOR IMPACT!"

"What's going on?!" I asked in a surprised tone. I stuffed the rest of the chocolate bar in my mouth, grab my HoloRifle, and tried standing up. ~ "Long live the purple shirt." ~

Nathan The entire transport was spinning out of control now. The pilots are frantically trying to turn the systems on again, but it simply wasn't working. Outside the window, I could see the moon hurdling towards us closer and closer. We were going to re-enter. I reached for my seat, which was hard to do with the artificial gravity turned off, and the wildly spinning transport. Finally grabbing the seat, I strapped myself in. The rest of Fireteam Nexus managed to do the same. "Everyone! Grab a seat and brace for an emergency re-entry!" The transports were shuddering severely now, with bits of the hull visibly tearing off as seen from the windows. I'm not sure we'll get out in one piece.

Already in his seat, Armand immediately de-cloaked and de-phased as soon as the warning about the storm came in. I strap myself in tight, ready to ride out this crash as best I can. If needed, I plan on phasing out right before the crash if possible, slipping through the transport and landing somewhat more softly on the surface. If anything, this was going to be one heck of a crash.

Daichi Fireteam Kronos was also strapped in already. Chris was now getting clearly agitated from the sheer stress of going through a major transport crash. The entire superstructure of the transport was ripping apart as we were tumbling towards the surface. I could even see visible cracks within the transport bay, which really worried me. "You reckon these suits will hold up to a re-entry crash?"

Nathan The re-entry heat was now really picking up. The stream of fire could be seen from the slowly cracking windows. The transport's hull was now more viscerally shaking and shuddering from the stress of re-entry. This can't be the way to die. This can't be the way to die...

Aleya As the subsequent eruption of flames and massive turbulence I open up my voice on all frequencies "what are you lads afraid of the grim reaper?" I say with a yell of excitement afterwards. My body more relaxed then it has been ever before, not much fazes me now. My eyes connect with Walkers, "aye it takes more to kill you than this doesn't it?" I say to him on a private channel with a giant grin on my face. As the ratting and violent shaking continues I slap my rifle, checking its magwell and pulling my bolt "its going to be one hell of a hot drop" I yell, finally bracing for an eventual impact.

Armand braced himself. With the transport breaking up and uncontrolled re-entry heat making survival an unlikely possibility, I decide to get to the cockpit. The transport is shaking too hard to unstrap, I phase out. At least we're out of the storm, so I'm not affected too much. Making slow, shaky steps to the cockpit with mags in the boots on, I get in. "Are the engines still functioning?" I say, the words being snatched away by the wind almost before they're said, but hopefully the comms can relay it over. There's the faintest glimmer of hope, because if I can connect my suit to the engines, then phase, I could recharge the reserve batteries enough for us to make a controlled crash. The other transport though... I can only hope they survive as best they can.

Nathan "The pilots are gone. They're gone already..." The fiery wreckage of the transports finally entered the grey skies of Cesena-01. Approaching the surface rapidly, the much denser air took its toll on the transport's superstructure. Tearing apart from the drag, the transports hurdled downwards towards the Cliff side. Violently crashing into the ground, the transport broke into two parts, with me being strapped onto the frontal half. The frontal half was tumbling towards the end of the cliff, and I knew that I would die if I stayed here. Using my Photon Sword, I cut the straps off the seat and pushed myself from the transport's burning wreckage. There was still enough momentum to throw me off the cliff. It was only through pure luck that I managed to engage the boosters and use the Photon Sword to dig in through the cliff face. I looked down the cliff, only to be greeted by fierce waves and jagged rocks. "Oh bother..."

As the transport was torn apart, Armand was thrown about. When my brain caught up to the current situation, I immediately phased out, dropping like a stone towards the surface. On landing, I partially embedded myself in the rock, just so the shock was less severe. At the academy, most people had a unique ability, but some of the best minds taught me this sort of stuff would come in handy. Still, it hurt like heck. At least I was pretty sure I didn't have internal bleeding or broken bones - the phasing took care of that. Digging myself out with my still-solid arms, I looked about. The transport was still on the way down, but I saw that Nathan, Nexus 1 as displayed on my HUD, was out already and was caught on a cliff. Running over, I looked down. Finally catching sight, I asked into the comms, "N-one, are you all right down there?"

Aleya Half of the ship just sailed out in the opposite direction, I relaxed my body to its fullest extent moving with the momentum of the ship. The half impacted, throwing my out of my seat after the straps ripped. I was pretty much safe as the ground around me is pretty flat, I cross my arms and straitened as my light gear started skidding across the land causing minimal discomfort and no damage to my gear. As I stopped I snached my rifle off of the sling and scanned the area around me. Clear, I pull down my HUD and run a sys scan and come up with all green on my results, I stand and head toward the other half of the ship to regroup with whoever survived. I start to limber into a sprint and admire the surrounding during the way to the half, debris scattered throughout the path I take.

(Eng. I don't think I can do this.) I sat in my seat with a loss of energy, but otherwise I was fine. I got up from my seat. "Can we never do that again?" I mumbled to myself. "Wait for me!" I said to Aleya, as I ran towards her. ~ "Long live the purple shirt." ~

Nathan "Well, I think I'm fine for the most part. Wait for a bit while I crawl out." Using the grappling hook, I zipped myself up the cliff side. It was the AERIS Operative from earlier, and he seemed okay for the most part. Turning my attention to the transport, I was shocked at the derelict state of the ship. It was almost unrecognizable, with the hull split into two, crushed pieces. "Main objective right now is to locate survivors. I'll try and contact the other transport as well." I activated my motion scanners for any signs of survivors in the wreckage.

Daichi The crash was pretty harsh on the suits. I was thrown off almost immediately as the transport shuttle hit the ground hard. My entire seat was ripped off, and I landed in the middle of the carnage. The ship was on fire, and I could see that it was torn into two parts. Where was Chris? I cut my straps off and searched for Chris. Constantly searching the debris, morbid thoughts began to seep in. No way, I told myself. There was no way Chris would be dead. Thankfully, Chris was only injured, as he was caught underneath a metal sheet. I used my Shadow Dagger to cut through the metal, and dragged him out. "You okay?" "Been better." After that, I turned my attention to Captain Walker, who ordered us to search for survivors. Acknowledging the order, I began to search the burning wreckage for anyone that might have survived.
