oh yeah, and using instruments other than drums. in the video I mentioned, I used a tremolo picking sample and copied and pasted.

coming up with guitar riffs that aren't just more than me picking one or two strings over and over again or strumming basic chords trying to incorporate drums or other percussion into my music is also somewhat challenging for me, as i'm always playing a few beats too slow or fast and it just sounds like a pile of ass
