"But it tells me that marx would perfer the dark ages over todays modern economy." The point of you reading that was to have freaking empathy, not to continue judging people who don't think exactly alike to you.

I was stating what learned based off of Marx whenever comparing the middle ages to a capitialist system he used it as the better comparisson, therefore its safe to say I can say that based off what I learned.

That doesn't mean he likes it. And he never used it as the 'better comparison'. He used it to show that all history is class struggles. The plebs, the bondsman, the proletariat.

He never said one was better, he despised both, and he despised the communists that wanted the artisan lifestyle back.

In comparrison to capitialism he talked about the fruit of the middle ages which he indured, I think why he despised the communists that liked the artisan way as you say it, is because they got the wrong gist of what he meant and they assumed that he wanted to establish a middle age class system or ressurect monarchy.

No. He never glorified the middle ages or feudalism. He compared the two systems, capitalism and feudalism, together, to show how they were practically the same.

"No he liked the idea of Guilds but thought they were under developed way of expressing workers rights he also favored the lower class workers of the middle ages." He didn't favor them. He was saying that the workers of that period of time were abused, just like under capitalism. Hey Dharma, did you know Ronald Reagan was a corporate puppet? The more you know, eh?
