You nearly slip and fall on the way up, but you can start seeing what it is. It's some sort of tent, although it wasn't made out of materials found on the mountain, at least you think.
It's made out of fabric, and resides on a plateau right beside the peak. It's latched on using rope.
You start wondering why the heck something like this is on a desolate planet like Jasperine. |
Delighted by the thought that maybe there were other people alive here, I come closer. |
You can slowly start to hear mumbling inside the tent as you approach it. |
I listen in on their conversation. |
You press your ear against the fabric. You can hear talking, but...it's a different language. |
I try to make out a tone to tell if they're friendly or not. |
Hmm.
Seems like a light tone. You could see what's inside, as the front's open, but be careful. |
You spot a being inside the tent. He's wearing a wool hoodie, with the hood up. His face is dark, the only thing consisting of it, that you can see, is two red eyes.
It doesn't notice you. |
He looks sorta menacing, and he doesn't speak my language... so I decide not to disturb them. I look around on their camp. Maybe I'll just quietly loot some stuff and hightail it outta here. |
The beings get up and start to walk outside. Better hide, or they'll spot you! |
I hide behind whatever's nearest. |
You hide behind the tent as the beings come out. They head away, probably to find resources. |
I wait until they're far away to loot the tent. |
You go inside and straight away you can see luxury. For a tent.
There's even a light inside! You explore all the items, deciding what to loot. |
I look primarily for food and protection things. |
You spot a box of rations and a set of leather armor, surprisingly. |
I try on the armor to see if it fits/works for me after I put the rations in my backpack. |
Just barely. Suddenly, you can hear footsteps. The beings are coming back. |
I grab whatever last things I can and find a place to hide (unless they're still far away; then I'll book it outta there, but you seemed to imply that they were very near.) |
(they're near enough)
You hide in a small, empty cupboard (?) and wait. |
It's pitch black in there. You can hear near footsteps. They're right by the cupboard. You don't make a sound. |
I breathe quietly as I can. |
(wow fast response)
They sit down and take their time. They must've found what they were looking for. They're sitting down on the floor now. |
