Will vehicles ever be a thing?
Like group 1 can get vehicles at their garrison and drive towards other tiles, and they can also spawn vehicles of their attacking tile on the defender's tile. |

Not in the manner you mentioned them, that sounds cool in theory but wouldn't be as nice as you think since there would be a lot of delays involved.
We are looking to implement vehicles though in a future update. |

How are clans supposed to be unique with a standardised raid/war system that limits mostly everything they use?
- Your "fort" (tile) has to be a hexagon
- You have to have a central terminal
- You have to equal spawns (kinda good but tbh every home clan should have one sort of advantage)
- You can't use your own tech and are limited to pre-made tech that everyone has
- You have to use someone else's gun scripts which you may not like and may want to be edited
And I'm not saying all this because of how we are towards each other, I'm actually curious about how you will tackle all this.

There is a map consisting of hexagons, we call these hexagons tiles, each one of those tiles is 1 place with 1 server (there can't be more), you can capture those tiles in-game and the map will update. This way you have a rough overview of how powerful and influential certain clan is.

No one and nothing is stopping you from still having your own base with your own tech. No one is forcing you to participate in the BN either.

As mentioned before you can replicate your tech with our customizable weapon system and get to use it at your garrison/home tile. Neutral tiles use several variations of BN provided guns, so overall you get to use many more different weapons then you would nowadays.

I know that, but say for example all but few clans used it, those few wouldn't have any good clans to war because the clans using BN would probably tell you to use BN instead.

Limiting to a shape blocks some creativity, it's like trying to get a fort builder to build with a region, you can have a size limit, sure but tell him to keep it in a square and it gets difficult.

What if someone wants a different animation (or to add one if none provided)?
Or even not use raycast lasers, perhaps they want bullets or any other form of projectile, perhaps affected by "gravity"?

That's called progress, no war the past few months has worked out the way it was intended to. People will most likely adapt to BN since it solves the pressing issues that exist nowadays, with the price they pay being a small part of their individuality which they can optionally keep anyways so not really.

Was Van Gogh limited in his creativity because he had to draw on a rectangle canvas?
This is a trivial matter and has nothing to do with the BN, if a builder is incapable of working with preexisting requirements he isn't all that creative after all.

Attackers spawn outside depending on their attack direction, if you are attacking a tile and 2 of your groups tiles are adjacent to it, 1 north 1 south, in-game you have a chance to spawn on either side.

Correct, they will have to give us the gun models. If InsertService wasn't so restrictive we might have opted for a different method. The gun system is customize able in a sense that it covers many features implemented across various different guns used in clans nowadays.

That would require man hours of manually checking code, no one has time for that.

We provide animations for rifles and pistols, you don't really have anything that is completely different from that. In the future we might provide more. Last time I checked animations were similarly restrictive to InsertService.

I was actually going to use this as an example and realised so I made it more relevant to the situation haha.

Are you using the Universe system? Because if "tiles" are places created in the universe by players then (I think, not sure, you'd have to test) that you could use InsertService to load in their gun models from there (as it goes from place owner).

Split the load between many trusted, reliable scripters who have no connection to the clans you're checking.

Original dev of battle network here
The system was designed so that you could easily drop in your own gun models to our scripts. That is, the idea was you'd dynamically load in the models specific to the clan and the props would run with our guaranteed balanced scripts. |

Answering another question posed here about the lag. The original battle net systems we made performed quite poorly in our original testing (memory leak, actually), so the dev team decided to rewrite the entire system. If ben is using the original guns (which I'm fairly certain he is) then it should run smoothly (>45 fps) on a low end computer from 2009. |
