"if they haven't done it by now, it most likely will never happen"
Same can be stated for XBox One, but this time it is not going to be canceled, right?

There is much more compatibility in the *nix world. If you make ROBLOX work on Ubuntu, it will probably work on Mac and all other *nixes. You can put it into Ubuntu Software Center and Steam, many people will find it and play. |

For those who wonder why an android port exists. Android is Linux, but not GNU/Linux. It has Dalvik/ART runtime and plays only Java (there's NDK for C/C++ libs, but no complete apps). Binaries are different for Android. |
|
|
So Android = Linux distribution - GNU + own libraries?

I was literally just ready coming to suggest this, and then I saw this.
ABSOLUTE FULL SUPPORT. Linux is my main operating system, yet the ONLY reason I dual-boot with windows 8.1 at the moment is because I cannot play ROBLOX on Linux. |

I have Ubuntu (just switched to it) and I can't get Roblox or Roblox Studio to work! I will give 100% SUPPORT! |

I officially support the idea - as gaming in Linux overall as a platform is slowly gaining traction with the introduction of Steam and Valve's own SteamOS (based on Debian).
The only issue I see with this is that the developer/company model may conflict on what generally Linux and FOSS stands for - proprietary versus libre and open-source. Then again it's up to the end user to decide what they want to use. |

The thing is that Android is intended to be a mobile OS, but is not officially considered as a Linux distribution, even though if it does contain a modified Linux kernel. AFAIK a regular distro also must include other standard tools and utilities which Android does not have.
Also, if your argument regarding to "a mobile OS" is solely based on CPU architecture, look again: there's Raspbian - it's for the ARM architecture(since the Raspberry Pi is running on a ARM processor). |
