You went into his bedroom. For a guy that'd hassle someone for a debt, his bedroom was surely messy. Scrolls and papers alike had made the floor their new home, while the blacksmith's bed sheets were completely spread to the left of the bed instead of neatly over the bed fully. Looks like the blacksmith didn't even leave his house today, since you assumed most neat adult knows to make their bed as soon as they wake up. You scolded yourself for being a hypocrite. Your bedroom wasn't exactly so neat after all, now that you thought about it. Your thoughts were then interrupted by the sound of floorboards lightly creaking above your head.
A shiver went down your spine when you realized it was coming from the attic.
What will you do now?
A. Look in the attic
B. Get out |

Go to the attic, but get ready for battle. |

You went northwest in the bedroom and saw the attic's hatch was open. The attic's ladder had conveniently been down, too, for any person to use.
What will you do now?
A. Go inside
B. Go back |

You went inside, holding up your fists as if those would ACTUALLY help you if you got in a battle. You looked around the attic. There was a window made of stained glass towards the end of the attic, while a bunch of dusty old books and (seemingly) old used furniture lied to the left and right of the room. A dim grey light had poured in through the messily stained glass--it might have not been messy to actual art critics, but you considered it to just be a blob of brown who knows what on the window. To be honest with yourself though, you could've sworn you recognized it from somewhere else. You walked through the path between the books and furniture, stopping every few seconds to admire the books and the who knows what amount of knowledge is in there. A bookcase was to your right by the time you made it halfway into the center of the attic. You picked up a rather fancy looking book, blowing off the dust the book had collected. It appeared it had to do something with lycanthrope.
Take the book?
A. No
B. Yes

You took the book, opening up to its first page as you took a seat on unused firewood nearby.
According to the book, a man named "Oolfric Wuulthrod" was held captive in the King's dungeon and was experimented on for a month and a few days.
After turning to the last page, you stood, brushing yourself off as you put the book back where it was. The light coming from the window was a much much darker grey, which indicated that it was a while since you got your nose in the book--or maybe more clouds covered the sun--you couldn't exactly tell.
What will you do now?
A. Do a little bit more book hunting
B. Go back downstairs |
|
|
That's enough for now. Get out and look around. |

Right as you took a few steps towards the exit, the exit had shut itself, leaving you in an eerie attic all alone--or so it seemed. You looked around you in a panic, trying to understand why the heck the exit shut itself. You were deeply positive that the godforsaken house wasn't haunted by fallen goddesses. Rumors are spread around thr world that Borin Margus has encountered a fallen goddess, resisted their charm, then slayed it and created the Warsworn.
You shook your head. You were getting caught up in your thoughts again. You looked toward the window to see if you could possibly break it and escape that way, since last time you checked, there was no way you'd be going down that way. Who knows what waited for you at the end of the exit?
You walked over to the stained glass with the blob on it. Upon closer inspection, you saw that the ”blob of brown paint" wasn't just a blob of paint--but it was a monster. You had realized this when you'd came to your senses, shrieked, and had seen the monster seemingly grow an eye by having it appear out of thin air.
What will you do now?

You tried to attack the monster by using your fists, since you had no sword or bow. When you tried to take a swing at it, you missed, and the floor under you had collapsed. Looking down, you flailed your arms and legs at the darkness that awaited you. Quickly looking up, you raised your arm towards the disappearing light from the hole as if you could just grab something to pull yourself up. Within a second, the hole had closed and your vision faded to black.
You eventually woke up on the ground, on your back.
What will you do now?
A. Get up
B. Look at your surroundings
C. Call for help |

You looked at your surroundings. Everything around you had been made of paper and a material you couldn't recognize. The material you couldn't recognize appeared to be made of green tinted wood mixed with elder scrolls from times before you were even born. Beneath your feet had been scrolls, all formed and placed on top of each other in the shape of a makeshift floor, and to your surprise, the entire area around you was mostly composed of scrolls and the material you couldn't recognize. It was all formed in the shape of a mini library, but a library with open walls and little paths connected to even more other mini libraries. You noticed that there was usually a figure floating around some of the spiral stair libraries. The figures would usually have a book in hand, endlessly floating up, eventually looking at you from their duties from the corner of your eye. There were SO SO many books around you.
What will you do now?
A. Check out some books
B. Try to talk to one of the seekers

Barely having to move a single step, you checked the area around you and picked up a random book. As soon as your fingertips touched it, you felt a menacing luring presence behind you, and you were face to face with a figure. The figure reached out a tentacle to you, practically snatching the book from your hand as you stared wide-eyed in disbelief and shock at it when it turned around and floated away.
Your heart wouldn't stop beating.
What will you do now?
A. Pick up another book

You tried to talk to a figure that happened to pass you. At first the figure looked ahead to what appeared to be a path to a castle, then back to you. It nodded, signaling for you to follow it down the path.
