Remember those really old aircraft seats from those old building games? Where you could place bricks onto them or place them onto a brick and make a plane or something
Yeah, an updated working version of those would be cool. It would save aspiring clanners lots of moolah trying to get people to script them aircraft and whatnot. |

Instead of taking specific requests, why not just make a generalized set of basic technology that is 100% configurable?
The bare essentials would include, but are not limited to:
- A fort framework for setting up basic terminal-style forts. Should also support "triggers" (fancy name for custom events) that can execute code based on game states (raid loss, secondary objective completion, etc.).
- A basic GUI-based plug-n-play training system that allows a custom set of maps, weapons, and game modes.
- A bare-bones auto-promotion bot that supports entry courses like Solum.
- A basic gun framework. No animations, no models (the groups can create their own gun models to encourage diversity), just plug-n-play code. |

I intend on creating all of this not for my mere personal pleasure but in order to create a standardization for expectations of tech in the clan world today. That is, I want to break the notion that in order to succeed as a clan, you need a good scripter. Although your ideas would work well for, say, a team that can start new projects with templates, it wouldn't exactly achieve the goal I wish to accomplish with this
1. That'd be impractical for clan leaders, as they'd still require scripters to develop for them - either with or without a preset template
2. That'd be impractical for preexisting developers, who would most likely want to start from scratch - i.e. on a personal level I'd much rather create from scratch as opposed to use something that somebody else set up for the world to use |

Open source vehicle scripts, like for tanks or armored vehicles that can be edited to fit one's needs and are mouse controlled/wasd.
As well as turrets (Editable from small machine guns to artillery)
Open source HUD system that works with the guns and includes health, ammo, (armor if any) etc
^ 'Armor' system to go along with that or shields or something

Can the terminals be made team specific, as in, Raiders, Allies, and Defending team can capture them, but visitors team cannot? With that, if the allies capture the terminal, will it be captured for the defending team? |
