I'd like to suggest he idea of creating Section's for a Union, with this we will be able to add properties for every single section in a union. A section will be divided based upon the Union's construction and changing formats each time something is changed. Some short examples I was thinking for this would be: Workspace.Union.Transparency.Section1 = .1 Workspace.Union.BrickColor.Section1 = BrickColor.new("Bright red") Workspace.Union.Material.Section1 = "Neon" You would have Sections within the Union that would be able to change anything and everything creating a new level of imaginative ideas.

Despite what OP thinks, Union Properties Update is the same thing as Solid Modeling Update: More Properties. The old thread's been around for a while and there isn't a need to repost it. It would be safe to assume that you're trying to avoid another essay, but this won't help for any period of time and it won't help any people. Social & Cultural Factors Just kidding, this isn't an essay.

@FirstPoster I beg your pardon? I reposted it after being bombarded with complete pathetic essays, there is a need for this post because I also changed an item.

This kinda defeats the purpose of a Union. The point is that it's one entity. Technically that isn't true and unions are looked at very differently by the game (in different ways), but each section having its own properties is sorta redundant. That just means you're working with the separate parts of the Union individually... Sound familiar?

With this ability you open the idea of Unions creating perfect sculptures instead of just being on thing. Let's say I have a three parts in Union form, well one of them is Negated and makes a circle through the other two. I want that Section to be Neon while I want the outer surface to be Plastic. That's just totally unfair and impossible at the moment isn't it? So many more possibilities to go into a Union and change it to add more designs.

@Vortius game.workspace is not necessary, you can just use workspace instead #code print(R$0 Tx73) --M4GGOT/MaggotSoup, the maggot of RT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6AFytrIqE4

Totaly agreed. I hate when I building something and need to separate union back to brick because of changing material or color :D

You're kidding me right? This wouldn't make things more difficult at all, when you Union something it will stay the same. The only thing were doing is adding on the ability to change certain areas of a Union depending on when added to it. It's the same exact system as it currently is, the only difference is the additional options given under properties to make it even more realistic.

Wait, does this depend on the ##### of the union or the ##### used in the union? I only support depend on ##### of the union. If you mean either, than half support.

No support because union is one entity and if you want to have sections in different properties, separate the union, give sections properties and weld the sections #code print(R$0 Tx73) --M4GGOT/MaggotSoup, the maggot of RT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6AFytrIqE4

It pains me to see how many people don't understand a union... Solid Modeling allows us to create 3D Shapes that isn't possible with only Parts. The only problem I've found with it so far is that when I union items it becomes just one mega part with one Transparency and Material... With Sections implemented we'd be able to add more detail and difference within that Union to create even better work.

Meanwhile, OP sits in a RBXdev wannabe group that he owns. Yeah, we totally don't understand unions.
