I stared in amazement at the Panzer IV. I then ran towards the Panzer IV.

As you ran, your comrades followed you closely. The men got behind the Panzer IV, while you got on the engine deck. Panzer IV, as cool as it is, just won't fit 4 men behind it. Someone has to get on. And for once, you were glad that Maxis died. The enemy fire was unrelenting. But then, the Panzer IV turned its turret, and its low-velocity 75 roared. It blew away at least 2 MGs, one anti-tank gun, and took down 20 Russians with it. You laugh in excitement. But this was not the time for laughing. Sooner or later, you will get hit. But without you, there's nothing stopping this Panzer IV from getting flanked with AT grenades. Stay, or leave?

My common knowledge of the war so far that you can get killed. No one will care. If you go down that's it. I got out.

You jumped off the tanks and urged your Kameraden. "Mit mir! Wir müssen hier raus!!" as you ran, and your comrades soon followed. Running opposite your direction were fresh troops, hardened for fighting in urban settings. As you reached the field HQ, you reported back to your Offizier. He nodded, and gave you men the day off, as they have to search for the rest of your squad. Bunk bed, or stand guard?

I went to the bumpbed, I promised myself a sleep. Maybe a long sleep will do me good.

You lied in bed, and dozed off immediately. You woke up in the afternoon. Still no squad leader. Well, it's your day off. Do whatever you want.

I sat on the edge of my bed. I wondered what to do...

You could go to sleep again. Really, you could do whatever you want.

I got up. I looked around the place. Seeing what is what.

You got off the bed and took a look around HQ. It was just an ordinary office, with maps, documents and radio sets, accompanied by staff. What next?

I got outside. My gun next to me. I looked around seeing if they were any Russians. Seems peaceful, no Russians. I then sat down. I put my hands behind my head.

As you sat down, you observed the view around you. An MG nest on top of the Field HQ, with some guards on the perimeter. Next to it, the tank crews are maintenancing and repairing their tanks, espescially their prized one: The Panzer IV. Everyone's gathering around, looking at that thing. You wanna take a look?

I got up and went to look at the Panzer IV. I slowly pushed my way through the crowd.

Well, it was by no means underwhelming. The armor is thick, thick enough to withstand hits from a 45mm, even at close range. Its treads were thin, but made of steel, which was oiled recently. The crew worked joyfully with this machine. The cupola looked grand, a singular pillbox protruding from the top of the turret. The rest just looked... awesome. What next?

I went back to where I was sitting. I then yelled for one of my comrades to sit next to me. So I had someone to talk to.

The one you called to was one of the machine gunners, Kittel. He sat next to you. "So, what's up?" He asked.

"Eh nothing much, just bored. You?" I said. I sat there. It was nice having a day off. (They are actually speaking in German, just translated.)

(Well, of course) "Not much either. Heard you were part of the attack on the square. Tell me what happened." He said, with a curious voice.

"You know the normal things the Russians do. I got ambush two times, one when I walked into the house then another. One of my comrades died." I said. (I don't know which battle it was)

(the one where that Maxis guy died and the Panzer IV bounced AT gun shells and you got on it and then retreated)

"I made a plan once we were about to go back to HQ. It was each one of us to run while shooting the Russians. Maxis(?) Was nearly about to cross when he got shot. I couldn't help him, I would of ended up dying. I went with my teammates. We found a Panzer IV, we escaped on it. We killed about 20 Germans while on it." I said quietly.

(lol, German friendly fire) "Holy hell. Did you win that battle?" He asked, with surprise and shock in his voice.

"I think soo." I said. I was unsure. Yes we killed alot of men but you can't be sure.
