there isn't any reason not to have them.
Many popular social media outlets such as twitter, tumblr, instagram, steam, and more allow their users to use 2 characters, 1 character, and special characters to make their usernames
I understand no special characters, and 1 character not being allowed because of impersonation and the extreme rarity 1 character names would bring but there are 1296 different combinations for 2 character usernames which would be less rare than many limited items.
Maybe instead of being able to create your name with 2 characters, you could change it with robux, that way roblox would be able to create a profit. |

wait a minute
there's 10 numbers and 26 letters making 36 possible characters
i dont know if im doing this wrong but according to simple math there's only 72 two-letter name combinations
not 1296
im not sure how a multi million player site could actually use only 72 more usernames, and even if my math was wrong im sure those 1296 combinations would be snatched away in seconds by namesnipers
and what are you gonna name yourself? at? u7? 33? not exactly a great username bank there |

half of that was blocked out but from what i can understand you think it's a good idea with the only backing being that #1, its simple, and #2, you can make your name "50" |

36 combonations for the second letter
36*36 = 1296
Using your math there is only 108 3-character names. |
