You got misled by the title without actually reading the article.

H0 m0 genous is filtered because "h0 m0" is involved in a very touchy social issue that is better left unsaid on this forum. Although the word you were trying to say has nothing to do with the particular social issue it is involved with, ROBLOX prefers to play things safely rather than having a user misinterpret the word because they recognize the first four letters.
As for the topic at hand, this is very subjective. I can't go as far as to say that modern day music is better than the 80's. Modern day music is, at least in my opinion, less talented and staler than something like Bon Jovi or Def Leppard. I'm not a huge fan of pop or rap, but the difference between pop then and now is the fact that they had a completely different canvas to work with than we do now. Rap wasn't as mainstream in the 80's as it is now. Rappers then had to work to become big while nowadays they can find someone on youtube and instantly grant them a contract. Less we forget the subjects they rapped about were WAY more serious than they are now.
Rock music was also better in that time period than it is now. Everything was transitioning, so you had a plethora of styles that were really fun to watch pan out. Nowadays, they either follow the overly crowded grunge formula of music or pop-punk instead of combining elements from broader genres. I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, but this topic really is subjective. Science can do a lot of things, but it can't dictate something as subjective as music and personal preference. |

I agree with the article from "mid 80's" onward, it was bland as all hell.
But you can't post that article without considering the fact that 1980-1984 were also part of the 80's.
And why would I be annoyed? I mean, it's music. It's cringy as hell to get upset over different opinions. |
