I remember making a lot of obbies back in 2012.
All of them included at least one free model, they were poorly built, and are nowadays busted due to updates.
People visited them back in the day tho. :P |

Anyone remember those monster defense games? You had to buy weapons from a shop to fight zombies, ghosts, or aliens. Depending on the game. Most famous example has to be Shaakra's Zombie Defence

Well, I have a theory on why obbies died out. I think people thought the maps just weren't good enough, and with such innovative games like Flood Escape and Survive the Disasters coming out, I think people mostly saw obbies as more of a blueprint than an actual game.
I'm currently reworking one of my obbies right now. Maybe if someone made a map impressive enough, obbies will achieve it's former glory and maybe then won't be seen as just a blueprint. I think that's why most people hate obbies nowadays anyway. |

I remember that. I tried to enter the mountain building one because the prize was a yeti hat and I thought it looked cool. Couldn't even build past the baseplate

I mostly remember ( I didn't join very early, but early enough to remember a few)
- Green disk over cursor
- Colorful sphere when joining a game
- Build to survive
- Old ROBLOX heading
- 10 tix clothing
I could possibly remember more, But a lot of people already said most of these. |
