1) Search "how to install Linux on a Chromebook".
2) Do that.
3) Search "how to install Roblox on Linux".
4) Do that. |

ChromeOS cannot support files such as ROBLOX, since it cannot play .exe type files or of the sort.
ChromeOS can also not be able to play .api or whatever OP tried saying. It just doesn't support it at core.
Chromebook hardware might be able to work for ROBLOX, but ChromeOS just cannot do it. |
|
|
But ChromeOS can do it, you just have to install Wine to run it.
Which takes all of 10 minutes and makes any non-linux application a two-click to run kinda thing. |

We could never get it for all distros.
We'd have literally 20 different versions added that roblox probably doesnt feel like dealing with.
Id say portage and aptitude would be good places to start. |

Google Chrome is able to run .api, or android apps, as well as .app natively. This applies to every OS running Chromium/Google Chrome.
ROBLOX has to use some kind of framework or library to run on, or it will be a glitchy mess.
What Wine does is that it wraps a-n emulated .net framework in an application on Linux, since Linux is natively not compatible with .net.
Windows has the .net framework to run .exe files, though it was announced .net was going to be released to other operating systems as Windows were now going to focus on .appx.

Every time someone buys a chromebook thinking they can play games on it I laugh
The only games good for such a locked down, incapable device are flash games

Me, because it was 100$ and i needed something to code with and debug things with my job.
Id say about 50% of my use with it is entirely within the terminal. |

I have a Chromebook, but it's for educational purposes and my school bought it. |

This isn't possible. Chromebooks can not natively run ROBLOX unless it was turned into a Flash game. There are a few other ways it could work out (Wine, Crouton, etc.) but some of those could void the warranty. |
|
|
Installing crouton does not void the warranty, neither does making a separate partition and installing windows/linux/osx (if you have a large enough SSD).
Flushing out your chromeOS build is also totally within the warranty, crouton alone will make most of the full directories needed, and installing portage manually will fill the rest.
Ive even been able to replace the chrome desktop environment with XFCE, but XFCE takes up more memory so i went back. |

ipads can run it, why cant chrome os not?
|
|
|
They definitely car run it hardware wise.
My first gen iPad which can run many games just fine has a 1ghz processor, 256mb of ram, and a 16mb powervr graphics chip. Thats slightly more powerful than a nintendo 3DS.
Meanwhile the cheapest chromebook, the acer 11, has a 2.6ghz dual core processor, 2gb of ram, and integrated graphics (which even though its not a dedicated chip/card, are much better than anything powervr.)
The issue is chromeOS, roblox doesnt support linux platforms yet. And chromeOS vanilla is a very locked down operating system unless you put it into developer mode, and know exactly what you're doing when you start modifying it.
Some ways to get around this i have explained before.
Install crouton, install wine, play roblox.
Install portage on ChromeOS, install wine, play roblox.
Make a separate partition with another OS, play roblox.
Wipe chromebook, install Chromixium/Papyros/Gallium, install wine, play roblox.
Wipe chromebook, install windows, play roblox.
SSH into another computer, play roblox.
Chrome Remote Desktop app, play roblox.
Buy a 50$ android tablet, play roblox. |

or buy a PC |

Id rather not, laptops > desktops.
And windows is awful. |
|

Lol, "Linux is not compatible with ROBLOX." Hah kids, the AmazonOS and Android are both linux-based Operating Systems.
|
|
|
My school uses Chromebooks. Do not give my school district another reason to go block crazy when they find out roblox works on it. They do all blockings in waves. Coolmath has already fallen. That shows that they are relentless and will go after Codecademy next.
Verdict: no support |

Android uses the linux kernel but it is heavily modified and does not run like any other linux distribution. Android more closely represents UNIX libraries than it does represent a regular linux environment.
They also use a very outdated kernel which wouldnt work with modern computer hardware. |
