Anarchism is not what people think it is. The mainstream media has completely twisted into a total chaos ridden society with no rules and now laws. But anarchism is nothing like that, it simply means you do not want rulers and you don't want to be ruled by somebody. Our American government is the most corrupt government in the world, we have killed over a million people over the course of a few decades, ex: vietnam, afghanistan, and we have sent millions of our own to die in wars created by wealthy rich white folks. Some people say we should fix the system, but I think we should destroy it and abolish all forms of government so we can live in a truly free society.

There's a reason anarchism is only a hypothetical system and has never actually been implemented.

I'm proud to have been born and spent a few years in an America that was still halfway decent, but I am not proud of what we have done to it.

OP, you do realize that anarchism is a political theory just like Liberalism, Socialism, etc. in that there are many different ways of defining it. One of these ways is what you say the media "brainwashes" us into thinking. There's conservative anarchisms, liberal anarchism, Anarcho-Syndicalism and many others. You can't tell people they are wrong for defining anarchism as something that it actually is.

You can still have laws and a police/military force in an anarchist society. The idea that anarchy is nothing but chaos is ridiculous. Watch Jeff Berwick on youtube and Ken O'Keefe.

Total and complete anarchy would be mad. It pains me to say that but it would be. Can we become freer by applying principles of anarchism into our society. Absolutely but knowing who runs the joint that will never happen. It's not a government by the people or for the people, you don't look to politicians as people in a sense that I look at everyone else here and see them as people. Also as much as we are corrupt we are def not the most corrupt go look at China, how about Saudia Arabia. I hate being ruled just as much as you but anarchism in the sense you describe it would have its own problems. The real solution would be to limit government power and size and make sure we have a stronger voice, as well as us the citizens who are forced to be under this government make damn sure we hold it accountable and protest or even take up arms when it is not.

"You can still have laws and a police/military force in an anarchist society. The idea that anarchy is nothing but chaos is ridiculous. Watch Jeff Berwick on youtube and Ken O'Keefe." Yes, it is possible to have both of those things, but it's not ridiculous to say that that anarchy is nothing but chaos, when in some cases, that is exactly what it is. You say people need to learn what anarchy actually is, well it seems like you do as well. Like any form of political theory, there are different 'sects' of it. Different ways to believe it. One of these ways is, in fact, total chaos.
