I know that feel bro, they gave me two study skills classes in a row because I came late to school since I moved, they didn't have any room for anything else so that's how it had to be. Be careful what you wish for.... -Nadakahn

Why do you complain incessantly over the difficulty of simple subjects such as algebra and geometry? Solving such a trivial issue is as simple as disabling your electronics and drafting a page of accurate answers. Do not worry though, such knowledge will be very useful.

Haha, I also had to retake Algebra I. The year after, I elected to take Algebra II as my elective along with Geometry. Then I skipped Pre-Calc and went right to AP Calculus AB. I wanted to get ahead quickly, and I did really well (A's in both classes). All of my homework for both classes were done in school, either by the end of the class or the start of the next class. It also helped that I was allowed to start the Geometry homework right away, without listening to the lecture. It was such a great decision.

@pokemon that sounds better than math classes man algebra is easy because i am retaking it but for geometry you need algebra and i'm retaking algebra so ???? latex

"@moronism nice assuming that i use my phone/computer while doing homework : )" Ah, that explains the premise quite well. You are experiencing difficulty in computing simple components of algebra, yes? Perhaps you would recognize greater results if you ceased with your reliance on a calculator.

i'm not having trouble with algebra i'm having trouble with geometry also i cannot do 3x = 5x - 6 in my head and i doubt you can too latex

"also i cannot do 3x = 5x - 6 in my head" Really? Plus six, -3x, divide by 2, and x = 3. Hard to believe I used to struggle with stuff like that o.O Just wait until you get to polynomials ;D

no we have to do it different than that we have to do it a really weird way there's another problem in which x = 10 but we somehow have to get 34 and i've looked on the internet, asked my parents, all that and i was doing it right even with segment addition postulate it doesn't work latex

I guess back then you have to show your work. That was always a pain for me. Fortunately my Algebra II teacher didn't mind as long as I showed SOME work. And ugh, that's right, Geometry has all that "postulate" and "proof" stuff that was always a pain.

"i'd really rather not entertain a pseudo-intellectual" Hmm? Quite prideful, yes? Very interesting. The "pseudo-intellectual" is not the individual that created a thread on a Internet forum whining about elementary mathematics.

@gcs when you had to retake algebra and you're starting with algebre that's done as the end of the year it's a lot harder for example 21 would be 4x - 6 = 3x + 4 and the answer to that would be x but they somehow get 34 (even if you did seg. add. post you'd have to get 17) latex

@moro 1) how am i appeared prideful? i'm not going to run around for someone's whose only game is appearing smarter than they actually are (see: pseudo-intellectual) 2) i'm whining about the amount of math homework i'm getting, along with the decision to put me into algebra, which is supposed to precede geometry, the same semester as i'm taking geometry. latex
