Why are some threads irrelevant to the topic of clans entirely acceptable, but then subjects like politics and religion are not? If you're going to make C&G a place that strictly forbids discussing topics irrelevant to clans than do it right, or don't bother doing it at all. It makes no sense to have it otherwise. |

Sorry, the mods stopped listening awhile ago. |

I don't understand it at all. There used to be the global discussion forum which served pretty well as a containment zone for political/religious discussion, but they removed it and are for some reason surprised that the discussion has spilled over into other subforums. |

in my opinion there should be less guns

they told us one time we could be off topic in here
but i think religion and topics like that arent allowed in any forums

I've had my account repeatedly banned for partaking and starting my own political discussions, including a moment ago when I made a discussion thread on Bernie Sanders, and it's irritating when just about everyone on this forum constantly post irrelevant threads. |

"but they removed it and are for some reason surprised that the discussion has spilled over into other subforums."
To be fair, even when it existed we argued politics and religion here significantly more than we did on global

they don't permit religious or political debates because it often ends in flame wars
makes their job easier |

off topic threads are allowed to a certain degree on C&G.
If you choose to violate the ToS with a thread that is off topic as well then you're risking that yeah. |

They stopped doing that a long time ago. You can post general irrelevant stuff but they can still delete it at random if they feel it needs to be. |

who cares if it leads to flame wars?
so does just about every other thread.
unto's absolutely right by the way, this has increasingly becoming a bigger problem over time. often times in fact, the mods are more likely to respond harshly to threads in support of the right wing over the left. even when it comes to banning political threads, the mods tend to have a remarkable liberal prejudice. |

like I said it makes the mod's job easier
everyone does anything they can to make their job easier
we stopped using the vacuum that management or whoever got for us because the cord's so dang short we had to unplug it and move it several times while vacuuming
so now we're back to housekeeping's vacuum

how could banning threads require more effort than doing nothing |

if it ended in a flame war (which it probably would), they'd have to filter through the reports and read parts of the thread
this way they can just be like "politics? lolno" and delete it |

but like i said earlier
we get flamewars from just about any topic so why should political "INFLAMMATORY REMARKS" (as they like to put it) be treated any differently?
follow your own damn rules, or at the very least, don't be hypocritical about it lol |
