The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is the best in the genre in my opinion. My Little Monster is also good, but the ending is unsatisfactory.
If you don't mind it being mixed in with other genres, I'd recommend Eureka Seven.

Saw my pet girl sakurasou, loved it
Saw my little monster, I really enjoyed that one, damn shame they didn't continue the series, or so it seems.
Also never tried eureka seven but man their opening themes are JAMMIN, I'll try to give it a try after exams, I usually find anime so nowadays by how catchy their theme is.
