how do you make a mesh turn because when i try to put a mesh into my normal gear it goes sideways i would appreciate you help :)

Well the Mesh will just wrap around a part - you would need to rotate the part itself.

well i have done that and the mesh(for example a apple mesh) turns sideways even when i try to put it to got upright

Right, you'll need to rotate the actual part. Meshes - like cylinder meshes, for ex - have predetermined faces. The top face of the cylinder will always fall in line with the Top face of the part, whether the Top face is the one literally on top or not. :D

go add a SpecialMesh into a part then go to MeshType then click FileMesh :) thi type of mesh is were you can get for example the shapes of roblox gears

Yes, even that type of mesh is not excluded from the above criterion. It will always match the top/bottom/left/right/back/front of the part it's hosted within.
