So school has been very stressful
So I got a 4.0gpa and a junior
You might think "4.0s are easy to keep you lazy f"
Well adhd + 4.0gpa is an accomplishment
I have these problems:
Can't remember to turn in assignments
Distracted so much doesn't hear teacher say to gather homework
Need to be told constantly to understand something
The list goes on tbh
Today in science class (I have a c because I forgot to turn in some worksheet"
The teacher was in a bad mood
I don't notice
In bad moods she won't take late work
I ask her but mention I have adhd and I just can't do what I listed above(I never did this before)
She said "too bad life's hard suck it up"
And gave the paper back
I walked to the bathroom and cried
Just something very triggering happened there that I don't understand myself.
Man life without adhd would be perfect |

I feel bad for you. Sounds like your teacher was being quite harsh. Plus I would imagine that having adhd didn't help.

You can't use your disorder as an excuse for your incompetence, OP.
However, the fact that you realize there is a problem means you are on your way to getting rid of it.
Set reminders on your phone to do homework, set reminders to put your homework in a specific part of your bag that you know you'll go into and see it.
Focusing on things you don't like is difficult, believe me. The best thing you can do is get some motivation. The best motivation is the craving for success. If you really want to succeed at something, you'll do your best at it. Even trying to get an interest in something you're learning helps hugely.
And always remember to see teachers after school to get some extra help or extra credit work if you need it. ALWAYS KEEP CONVERSATION WITH YOUR TEACHERS OPEN!

Usually teachers have specific patterns or days they want homework turned in. Every Wednesday, every start of the week, every second class, etc. If yours doesn't, then make it compulsive to turn it in the day after it is assigned to you, or the next class you have after it's assigned to you. If they say it's early, keep it, and repeat the process.

i had to rap in a video for school and our class was the only one assigned partners bc she hates us and i got this annoying guy and he wanted to do the rap to the tune of "down in the dm" and i was like idk that im white and the teacher was like "ya ik that song do that" so after arguing he decided to just use garageband and then our video was supposed to be at least 1 minutes but its only 48 seconds and he wants to keep working on it and i just dont care anymore and we have to show them in front of class and its so bad but ya your life is hard too |
