TovTov raises a good point. The US consume more resources than any other country in the world, despite not being the most populated. In fact, Americans constitute 5% of the world's population but consume 24% of the world's energy.

can i just say america can use all the resources it wants because they can afford it.
it isn't the western countries fault that africa is such a hard country to progess in and there is no reason the west shouldn't be powerful.
i find it very funny when people get angry at something because they do what they are surpose to do too well (such as the people angry at microsoft and the guy who hates the BBC)

India (alone) gives off more then two times CO2 then the US.
America has the world's largest economy, the GDP of China (the most populous country in teh world) is 7.4 trillion, America's is 14.8 trillion, twice as much.
California ,alone, is the world's 8th largest economy. (GDP: 1.2 TRILLION)
A big economy needs a lot of materials! No durh "-..-"
America also has the world's most powerful military, America can muster up a military of about 3.9 million troops, China can create a military of about 10 million, but America has the best training, the best weapons, and the best tacticians.

... You REALLY are stupid... The Uk is the 79th biggest nation out of 233! It has one of the biggest populations on Earth, 61 million, ranking 22nd. As for "least impressive", we controlled the 1/4 of the worlds land population, and good. And "achieved so little", read what squrriel said, we invented that and MUCH more. |
