christianity is technically just a theory
science stuff like evolution and the big bang are just theories
good golly gosh
i think humans are just theories too

HOW COULD THE WORLD BE REAL IF OUR EYES ARENT REAL |

Except, evolution is proven with evidence and creationism isn't.

@kax
a tiny bit of proof doesnt automatically make a theory true
thats like saying "WATER HAS SNOW IN IT BECAUSE THERE ARE WHITE THINGS THAT APPEAR IN WATER SO MY THEORY IS RIGHT" |

in scientific context, the word "theory" means "based on facts"
@Traff
There's an abundance of evidence to suggest the theory of evolution. There's none to suggest creationism, and in fact, a lot exists to disprove it. |

my theory that snow is in water is based on fact
because you see the white specs right there |
@Traff
There's no evidence to prove it- Now, it's certainly true that snow CAN be in water, but it doesn't count as a theory. |

respect my theory |
@Traff
No! Because it's not a theory! |
theory = explanation for something (based on supporting evidence)
theory ≠ unproven hypothesis

my biology teacher also explained to us last week i believe that (quoting him on here):
"Everything in science is just a theory, If there is a fact in science, Science goes out the window."
something along those lines |

I think there's evidence for creationism. And evolution doesn't really explain origin. |
origin of what
universe = mostly accepted that it was the big bang, evidence is in space radiation and the universe expanding
life = considering the countless planets in the universe, the coincidental creation of a basic organism is not unlikely. from there you know what evolution is
@Acid
What's the evidence for creationism? |
Order in the universe is pretty indicative of a rational mind behind the whole thing |

Well I think from a cosmological standpoint that if the universe had some kind of start, like the big bang, then that posits a cause. After all, things with beginnings have causes. And the cause would have to have always existed otherwise there would be an infinite regress which is illogical.
There's other reasons why it seems like the cause would be God. |
what do you think an example would be of a universe without "order"
our planet only seems perfect for us because we came from it, the rest of the universe is still super hostile

whats the evidence for evolution? |
A scientific theory is different from the standard meaning of theory. |
@Acidware
Then where did God come from? |
