The safe chat system is a good concept, but does not currently work. If someone is above the safechat age, they should not be restricted to view the chats of other people who are below the age. Safe chat is supposed to restrict the younger audience of ROBLOX not restrict the people who are above the age. Every day I meet someone who is too young and I quote this is from someone in my current game : " I #### ## #### poop #####. " ... What? Exactly, I have NO idea what they are saying. And not only does the safe chat system restrict words that have NO need to be restricted, it prevents the older players from knowing what they are saying. I respect the fact that it restricts the words to the other players, but to me? What? I am playing with a friend who is over 20 and he still sees the same thing. There is no point in this.

Safechat should be removed so that players can talk right and no hashtags. |

Maybe the chat system should have a blacklist, instead of a whitelist. It'll be more simpler.

I agree, even though I think its good that roblox has this feature implemented into there platform although I think its an little overkill when it comes to hashtags. Supported!!!

So what you're saying is a 10 year old is incapable of lying about their age when creating an account.
I don't support this. Profanity is against their guidelines and should be censored from EVERYONE. Those who avoid the safechat filter by using symbols or white spaces should be taken care of/punished accordingly.
Why would ROBLOX even think about giving a small child the idea that they should lie about their age to have more rights. So the parent can eventually find out what the child is doing and then contact ROBLOX and even threaten to sue them for claiming it is a game for all ages but allows users to use profane language?

Yeah. Most people lie about their age (me) or they deal with no one being able to hear them. Its like guests, except it insults you.
Also, what if they say a word that doesn't get censored, but they spell/type it wrong? Bam, no one knows what they said, even if they spelt it wrong. |

How about non safe chatters can see everything people say because they will be old enough to see all that. Or maybe censor all the bad words or the words that give people "graphical" images.
Safe chat is to get rid of all those bad words so the younger kids can play without learning the bad words or getting in trouble if their parents are watching. Not block all sources of communication between other people. We want Roblox a social place but how will it be social if the chat is so strict.
Does Roblox think kids will curse and cuss so they have to block THEIR chats? Block all the bad chats and inappropriate chats instead of blocking the safe chatters. Roblox just made safe chat messed up and now even non safe chatters have a hard time chatting.
Almost all people I chat to in the game for the company group I work in are safe chatters and I can't understand them while they see what they said they think I'm blind and crazy because I can't understand. I support this.
