■■★☆★▬▬ TOTALLY FOR PRIME MINISTER ▬▬★☆★■■ [INTRO:] Hello, you may know me as the former group holder, first prime minister, and a candidate for the second Icelandic Presidential Elections (I would've won but then I became the group leader), I have done many great things throughout my career in Iceland and I would like to continue it by becoming Prime Minister! Needless to say, I, TotallyJustin, have decided to run for Prime Minister! I will be running under the Progressive party. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ [IDEOLOGY/IDEAS:] First off, I am a member of the Independence Party, and I plan on doing many changes in the government, our capital, and Iceland in general (Read list belown). [IDEA #1: Gun Access] I've noticed that Reykjavik has lost a lot of it's popularity recently, and I, and many other Gov't employees, have come to realize that the drop in popularity may be due to a few things, but one of the major ones is Gun Access. There are only 3 free guns on Reykjavik and 1 extra gun that you can buy for a pricey 700 Robux. You may be asking "Don't guns cause crime, and what is the point of having guns in the first place?". Well the thing is, this is a game. This being a game means that, people will want to do things that they can't do in real life, like shooting guns. And "Guns being easily accessible" may give criminals guns, but it will also give guns for civilians to protect themselves with. For every gun you give to a non law abiding citizen, you give one gun to a law abiding citizen who can use that gun to protect his/herself against the non law abiding citizen. [HOW I WILL IMPLEMENT IDEA #1:] (Note, this is a continuation of "Gun access"). I will be working on adding 1-2 more gun stores in Reykjavik, and I already have a developer who is willing to do the job. The first gun store will be placed right next to the Parliament building, and will be civilian owned and run, it will sell pistols, a Lee Enfield, shotguns, and 1-2 assault rifles. The second gun store will be placed inside the Military base, and is supposedly only to be used by Military personell, but ambitious citizens could break in and steal the weapons, the Military gun store will sell stronger assault rifles, shotguns, and pistols. [HOW IDEA #1 WILL BE RUN:] What I mean by this is; How the gun stores will be taken care of. The 1st gun store (The one near parliament building) will be civilian owned and run, the gun store will have a new Team added to the server and a new group made. The gun store workers will be paid an extra $50 than normal citizens, the gun store group will only be allowed to have 20 members at a time, and the workers will spawn with a radio and a handgun to guard the store. Cops will send messages on the radio to the gun store workers on who to not let into the store to buy guns. For example if a man by the name of "Billybob123" killed 3 civilians, and was heading to the gun store to buy a new gun, the cops would tell the guards to deny access inside the gunstore to Billy, and will wait for the authorities to come and arrest him. Gun store 2 is under the AF/SF/PD's control, it is their responsibility to patrol the wall around the base, and if a civilian breaks in then it is their problem. [IDEA #2: Civilian Owned Businesses] Civilians in Iceland are very bored. A capital with little guns, a group with little activity (I will talk about that in my next idea), and a capital with nothing for Civilians to do. Civilian owned businesses will change all of that, just like "Gun store 1" there will be many stores that will be owned, guarded, and run by civilians. Government intervention in these businesses should be small, and only should happen when the Businesses are just starting, or are failing and need a little push. [HOW I WILL IMPLEMENT IDEA #2:] I will implement #2 like this: A group of civilians (Must be at least 20 civilians), will meet with Gov't employees and tell them what kind of business they want to run, and where they want to run it. The civilians will either provide us with a store, or our developers will make one. Once the store is made, a group and team will be made for the store, from that point on it is the civilians who need to run it, unless their business starts to fail, and in that case we will have to intervene. If the Business becomes popular, then the government will increase their pay by $20 dollars, and will keep doing that if the Business keeps becoming popular. [HOW IDEA #2 WILL BE RUN:] I'm pretty sure I explained that above. [IDEA #2 EXAMPLES:] Clearflight's radio station is a wonderful of a Civilian Business (I encouraged him to make it). His business is completely run by civilians, and the occasional government agent who wants to go on air. I believe that Clear's radio workers should get an increased pay check, because their business is popular and (Like what I said above) it provides many people with jobs. [IDEA #3: HR Positions] HR's will need to say when they will not be able to make it to meetings, and HR's that are apart of AF/SF/PD etc, will need to host trainings EVERY DAY. HR's who do nothing, and just use their title of High Rank as a shiny trophy, will be fired. Minister's who do nothing, will be fired. HR's who have committed crimes, may be fired and may not be fired. Also, "Family/Friend Dynasties" (Where you appoint someone because they're your friend/family member) will not be tolerated, for someone to gain an HR position, there must be at least 3 HR's who agree on making that person the rank (This is very self explanatory.). If we find out that the person is a friend/family member of the HR, then 5 HR's will be required to decide if that person deserves to become a HR rank. [HOW I WILL IMPLEMENT IDEA #3:] If a HR member is very inactive, does nearly nothing with their job, and doesn't say when they will be inactive and why, will have to talk it over with Prime Minister, President, and at least three supreme court members. If the conflict isn't resolved then the HR will have to go to court. If an HR is being accused of a crime, then the Prime Minister, President, and at least three supreme court members will talk over if it really is worth it to make the HR lose his/her job, if they think that the HR deserves losing their job then they will take the HR to court. [HOW IDEA #3 WILL BE RUN:] HR members losing their jobs will revolve around the SC, PM, and President. Those 3 (Possibly more) SC members, the PM, and President will have to weigh the costs of making the HR lose their job, if they cannot agree on what will happen, then they will take the HR to court, and a jury will be required. If they find the HR guilty of being inactive/committing a crime then the HR will lose his/her job. [IDEA #4: General Development of the Capital] Our capital is, no offense, kinda bland, and as President I will get Developers ACTUALLY working to make the capital better. [HOW I WILL IMPLEMENT IDEA #4:] Civilian Businesses, Government Businesses, and developers adding things like Cars or secret gun stores throughout the city. [HOW IDEA #4 WILL BE RUN:] Idea #4 will mostly be by me and a few developers, and you civilians too (Civilian Businesses). [IDEA #5: Better Military] Currently, our Military can put up a fighting force of 15 people on a good day. I hope to change that. With the increase of members, we're getting more and more people who could be/are willing to be soldiers. Since "Making the Military better" is a large topic, I will break this part down into sub sections. [1: Training at the Capital] If we want our Military to be able to protect Iceland from foreign invaders, then we are going to need to get our soldiers used to the capital. I understand some leaders prefer to host their soldiers training's in private bases, but those places usually use different weapons than our capital, and that can lead to soldiers getting used to a certain weapon that is non-existent in Reykjavik. Soldiers will also be able to get used to the terrain in the Capital, and having them find places that they can defend from, while inside Reykjavik, is an important thing. [2: Have recruiting sessions at the Capital] People are more likely to join the Military, if they can see a high rank in front of them telling them to join. They're not more likely to join if they have to find a group shout on a wall, go to a place much different from the capital, etc. It's much easier for the Recruit to be at a familiar place, and just go up to the high rank and say "I would like to try out". [3: Give the Soldiers something to do] If you have several bored, armed, men, then the most likely thing that will happen is corruption. I've seen it myself, Soldiers who have nothing to do are trigger happy and willing to pull a gun on anyone that causes a problem. This will usually lead to corruption, and Civilians always shout about how horrible corruption is. To fix that we need to give soldiers things to do. This may sound stupid, but by telling soldiers simple things like to march the perimeter of the Parliament building to guard it from any terrorists, will prevent them from doing something stupid like shooting the president out of sheer boredom. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ [CLOSING:] That concludes of my speech/Ideas for Iceland.
