they've become the person that they feel that they are, and that is the person you fell in love with. they no longer identify as their previous gender so why should it matter?
if you're talking about terms of attraction to their nethers, sure, that's fine, that's a preference. but in terms of romantic/emotional attraction? i don't get why it would make a difference. plus if they've had the surgery, shouldn't it be okay?
