look I got no problem with autistic people - I'm friends with several.
however, it technically is a damaging medical condition. Depending on the severity, it can be anything from a crippling issue to a slight setback.
it's caused by brain damage, and it's generally accepted that the specific damage that causes it is structural brain issues
it is a problem, and that's why people are striving to increase the educational abilities for kids with autism and other conditions that can make it harder to learn, and it's also why we're trying to reduce causes of autism.
it's not like orthostatic hypotension or somethin
once again I have no problems with autistic people, that's just what it is.

You are either born with autism or not. By your definition of it being 'brain damage' though, then any mutation is damage and should be deleted, therefore stopping evolution. We NEED autistic people in order to get all the things we have. They are the thinkers and creators. Just because they have trouble learning doesn't mean it is a problem. I could say people who don't have a autistic mind have a problem because they don't do so well in areas where autistic people excel. |

Autism isn't hyperintelligence. It definitely can cause the ability to increase someone's understanding of a certain subject, but it's not hyperintelligence.
It is brain damage. For you, it's not that severe, but for other people, it is severe.
It does not stop evolution.
Non-autistic people have the ability to be geniuses as well.
Other people are thinkers and creators, too. My dad has several US patents.
Learning disabilities *are* a problem, do not deny that.
Autism doesn't only cause learning disabilities.
Autism is a very serious medical condition. Some people are high-functioning, like you, while other people with autism can't talk, they can't sleep well.
Autistic people are not more superior, non-autistic people are not more superior.

don't try to say that autism isn't a problem. We have lots of people dedicating their lives to researching what causes it, what can help it, and if it's possible to reverse it completely.
