...Or they could just leave them?
I don't see what's in it for you if they delete them. |

@sir
roblox is eventually going to run out of database space
and when it does, they're going to have to start deleting inactive accounts
|
|

That sounds like the worst idea in Video Game Development Since Micro Transactions in PayDay 2 |

That's not entirely how it works. They'd have started a while ago if so. |

this disgraceful idea sickens me just thinking about it.
think of all the historical accounts that will be lost.
and you're just hungry for namesnipes. |

Idea: I'm reading about a whole lot of people who are complaining that we will lose many great accounts in "the hands of a 9 year old". As a solution, if a player is valuable to the community, they will get a special badge labeled "Valuable" or something like that. I have a few ideas on how one could obtain this badge:
a) Have a game with 500k+ visits
b) Utilize DevEx
c) A moderator gives you the badge.
Note: That list is in order from most favorable to least favorable.
Owning this badge would keep your account from ever being sold. Also, you could put your account into "AFK mode" to keep it from being sold. |

you think a $415 million(estimated) dollar company just runs out of database space due to user accounts? |

@ChipioIndustries
I don't think an account should be sold no matter the value, because not everyone will get a game with over 500k visits, or have the ability to use DevEx. The AFK-mode idea might work, in a way. However, if an account isn't valuable, why would they want it? Most people that suggest ideas like this, or things like "delete inactive accounts" are actually hungry for namesnipes. Also, like someone else on this thread said, some people have their personal information on that account.
And as for your previous post, there are some people who quit for more than 18 months and come back. Why delete an account because someone didn't have the time to go on an account? Getting at someone else's account isn't really a good message, and will encourage some people to spend all day fishing in the "Library" for accounts that are worth alot, but not valuable enough. Really, the idea of BIDDING for an account, is the same as stealing one, which is strictly against the ROBLOX rules.

I'm going to be honest.
I do not agree with this.
What if an '06'er has quit, tried to come back in '16, only to find out their account has been taken?

If you went AFK for over 18 months, you would TURN ON AFK MODE BEFOREHAND. Also, the personal information would be wiped, and all the account's info (pass, mail, birthday, etc.) would be set to that of the buyer's account. |

You do know you should wait 12 more years or something for this. Xd |

accounts should not used as a profit tools, it is a personal thing and therefore should not be *hijacked* but whatever purpose. |
|
|
how's that better than the account buying blackmarkets, except it will be legit? |
|
|
@IloveModel The point of this is to keep as many active accounts as possible, instead of having 2/5ths of the population of ROBLOX as people who have quit. |

No, Because imagine if the person comes back and realizes that their account is gone.. It may cause problems. |

all they have to do is up their database storage like they've always done
