Look at how many times I've changed my name LOL. 20 times on this account, probably another 15 on my alts.
Either get BC, earn the robux, buy the robux(I don't, but it's only 10 bucks for 1k), or.......

1000 Robux "pocket change"?
Dude that's 10$ for BCs and 13$-15$s for NBCs!
Might not seem like a lot for you, but for most people, That's Outrageous. It's just a Username. Know any other game out there that charges people 15$ JUST to change their username?
My old username, "fancyboby47" ,was something I thought up of as a kid a long time ago. I think I got it off a game called "Poptropica". My new one fits me a lot better, now that I've found what I like doing on roblox. (Scripting/Making crazy inventions)
I understand that Roblox needs the money to keep things running, but if it's like that, make like 2 or 3 Limited hats and make them as overpriced as normal. You should get more than Twice as much. Too much hard work? Just host a contest and have the community do it all For You!
Anyway, moving on to more valid points.
You shot down Steam, but there are plenty of other examples out there, such as Minecraft. It's Free to change your username in Minecraft, and they don't allow for people to have the same username.
Also, to those who are afraid of Name Snipers, Need I remind you, It's FREE to make an account on roblox, and last time I checked, there are no rules preventing people from having alt accounts.
This is my opinion:
It shouldn't be 100% Free to change your username, however it shouldn't cost 1000 robux. I feel that 100 or maybe 250 robux is a reasonable price. If you wana set it higher, 500, but anything above that is just crazy (Considering it costs 5$ or more for 500 robux)

What "abuse" are you talking about? People can already snipe names for free by making new accounts, and changing your username won't hide your identity. Search up my old username "fancyboby47" and you will find my new username.
Then there's Bans. You could argue that people could get unbanned from places by changing there username, but
1. They can already do that if there rich enough. That's not 100% fair.
2. You can use User IDs to ban people instead of there name. Problem solved.
3. If you really wanted you could just go on the game with an alt account.
If the creator of the game uses User Names instead of User IDs to ban people, then he most likely uses
UserNames to store data too. That would mean you would loose everything by changing your username, and that would
be the same as using an alt.
In fact, a lot of people might not want to change there username at all due to risk of loosing GameData.
There is no "Abuse" that could come out of allowing Username changes to be more common.
It shouldn't be Free, but it shouldn't cost that much. |

Two words. Buy BC.
Roblox makes money from Robux and BC purchases. Making usernames free to change or even making them cheaper would surely lower the amount of money Roblox makes off of people buying these.
Be happy you even can. Back in the day, you used to have to bribe Telamon with actual money to even get him to consider it. |
