I had a chrome OS laptop I had really hard time using it due to the way it was built and it looked girly. I do like girly stuff but I perfer my devices to be black or gray or red or something...

Chrometops were designed for people who used phones and wanted a "computer." Egh.

7>10>8 so if you have windows 8, upgrade to windows 10 if you have windows 7, keep it if you have windows 10, just keep it

I got windows 8.1 but I'm prob gonna keep it for now I like it's layout but windows 10 is better. I like how we can change the colors of the start screen I might make mine pink after my pc comes back from being wiped clean.

if youre going to switch to linux or mac, i recommend linux. macs are overpriced. and the version of linux i would get is linux mint (disclaimer: i never tried linux mint, but it seems like the best one)

It only needs wiped because I downloaded hotspot shield on it and the files are still stuck in the registry and won't remove when I attempt to remove it. But chrome OS really does look like it's made for the internet I do agree and I bet google only made their own OS so they can make more money and so they can only have their browser automatically installed when people buy it.

you can change the color of the start menu/screen on windows 10 if you for some reason prefer the windows 8 layout, you can switch to the start screen

I do perfer the windows 8.1 start screen I saw the start button and it looks ugly with the apps inside it. And I grew attached to the start screen. Also I don't like how the taskbar below is black I wan't it the same color as the windows 8.1 all clear.

did you try doing a virus scan for the unremovable program?

Yup it didn't even pick it up. I opened the system registry and hotspot shield is just not a program you wanna install. I heard they sell your information while their software is installed on your system.

"I heard they sell your information while their software is installed on your system." if youre worried about that dont get windows 10 or use anything google related

I'm not talking about windows 10 or google related I mean hotspot shield I tried using it since I got IP blocked on this one 2d browser game for a idiotic reason. But I can agree with google and maybe windows 10s ideas for sending info to them because they need it for the apps to work.

I use Windows 7 right now, and I really like both it and 8.1. I found them both fast out of what I used of 'em, and didn't find 8.1 that hard to use since I mainly just used desktop mode. I've used a bit of 10 and.. eh. The bad driver support, spyware and lack of customization sort of turned me off from it. What could paw-sibly go wrong?

"I heard they sell your information while their software is installed on your system." I would not worry too much about this if you don't have a bunch of personal info on your PC. A new Challenger Approaches!

Agreed AlphystheLizard windows 7 and 8.1 are great but I perfer 8.1 more since it's on the next level of technology advancement while windows 7 still holds some of the features of windows xp. If it wasn't for this software being discontinued in 2023 I'd prob keep windows 8.1 for as long as possible.

I do wanna say this though. Windows 8/8.1 and windows 10 was built to support mobile devices and desktops and laptops. Windows 7 only supports desktops it doesn't support mobile devices.

Mostly trying to make replies to help this thread reach a 4th page at least before it dies.... But I'm gonna choose pink for the start screen color when windows 8.1 desktop comes back from being wiped clean.
