So, my sister an I, have shared a bedroom our whole lives, since we've never had enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own. Tonight, I went into the bathroom to change, while my sister is sitting on her bed drawing with her lamp on.
A while back, we made this deal, that whoever is out of bed last gets to turn off the light.
I got back into my room where my sister was still drawing, and I got into bed, and waited patiently for her to turn the lamp off. I was in bed making my bed all comfortable, and she asked me "Why are you getting all comfortable, when you have to turn off the light?"
--The tone in her voice made it seem like she was joking, so my response was kinda sarcastic too.--
My response "I don't have to turn off your lamp, since the lamp is right next to your bed, and I'd have to walk all the way across the room to turn it off. Besides, you're the one who burned out the lightbulb e.e" (the lightbulb incident happened earlier today)
Then she started talking all sassy and smart alek to me, for no good reason. (note that she's 11)
I started yelling "Mom, *insert name here* won't turn off the lamp!". --I was yelling, because if I'd get up to tell her myself, I'd end up turning the light off because I was legitimately up last. Call me a tattletale if you wish, Idc-- After a few attempts, my mom finally said "*insert name here*, turn off the lamp." Sister: "But she was up last!" Mom: "The lamp's right next to you isn't it? Just reach up and turn off the lamp." Sister: "It's not fair! She was up last!" --I was also reminding my mom that she's the one who burned out the lightbulb, anyway, and the lamp IS right next to her.-- My mom, interrupting the excuses my sister was making, said sternly, "*insert name here*, get the light!"
After what seemed to be forever, she finally gave up and turned off the lamp that was sitting on her dresser a foot from her bed. Let's just say, she was not happy. The last words she said were "Mom's going to make you feed the cats tomorrow night!" & "Bad night!"
--She was complaining about being too tired to go to her hockey practice tonight, and to be honest, she just proved it. I just don't get the "Mom's going to make you feed the cats tomorrow night!" thing, though. She's usually too scared to go down to the barn to feed them at night, unlike me. It's not like I care if I feed them tomorrow-her day to feed them-, but I think she was just making up threats to scare me or something. I asked her why she'd make me feed them, but she didn't say anything except for "bad night!"--
This is what it's like sharing a room with tired/cranky younger sister.
I'll admit, I could've phrased my words better, but it's over with now, and the lamp is off. Not to be rude, but you could tell that she was cranky, to be honest.
Anyway, what's done is done, and I probably shouldn't be gossiping about my sister anyway (even though I'm sure she wouldn't care...tomorrow...), so that's all I'm going to say now. That's about it anyway. This happened about 20 minutes ago.
If anyone calls me a tattletale, I don't care, because I won't take you seriously (especially since you'd probably do it just because I commented about it), and I'll most likely ignore your post.
Goodnight OT. |

seriously
who argues about turning off the light
Donald's gane up the hill hard and hungry, Donald comes down the hill wild and angry. |
|

Just saying, it kinda gets low when you post on an online forum about how you wouldn't turn off a lamp... |
|
|
Good thing I have good siblings unlike you by the way wouldent it take. Less time just to turn it off |
|
|
@MakeYourDreamsComeTrue: Ikr. But she said earlier today that she was tired, and don't get much sleep last night, so it kinda makes sense. It's happened before, but not that often. I'm just glad it's over with now. |

@pen
i meant to point out that i realized how pointless it was to argue over turning off a light and other things like that. like seriously,(im going to assume you are the older sibling) if ur older then her, just get up and turn it off. its only a few steps, it's not hard. |

Oh, and I couldn't even turn off the lamp if I tried, because the lamp is over on her territory, which is practically impossible to walk through. How she does it, I never may know;O |
|

Remember when I had theses pointless arguments good times nostalgia
Enjoy it while it lasts cause you will miss it. |

Bio, next time just get up and close the lamp! Now happy days! |
|
|
Seriously next time you get to get over your childish self and turn the freaking lamp off
Don't get all slippery on me |

@MakeYourDreamsComeTrue: True, but she really needs to learn to do stuff. I mean, this might sound like something anyone would use as an excuse, but she never does anything without being told numerous times. When someone asks her to take her dishes out of the living room, they'll usually stay there for days-even weeks- until someone that's not her comes by and picks it up. The point is, she needs to do things for herself sometimes.
This does seem like a strange subject now that I think about it, but I was bored, so I decided to post this.
Fact: We're both tired, and neither one of us wanted to listen to each other. Me, because she's a lot younger than me, her, I don't know.
Heheh I have a feeling this thread is going to get real nasty real quick. |

@AnxiousDragons: I prefer my childish self;) See, I used da shmilee fase cimbal, and deh xD |
|

sure, she doesn't do things
but is arguing over something as trivial as turning off a light that important? sure, she needs to learn to do things herself, but just be the bigger person and turn off the light and not start anything, it's better than starting a full blown argument |

"@AnxiousDragons: I prefer my childish self;) See, I used da shmilee fase cimbal, and deh xD "
You see I have a brother, and we had arguments like that but then i realized If I did that stuff and he didn't I would become superior to him in every way
Don't get all slippery on me |
|
|
@MakeUrDreamsComeTrue: I was tired too. Normally this wouldn't even happen if we were all rested up |
|
|
@AnxiousDragons: It's the intimidation that triggers it |
