A merc is someone who is invited to join a group during war, and is offered something in exchange, like robux or something

I always thought Merc's on roblox (not rl) are when they have no loyalty to the group but just join for the war.
Paying isn't mandatory for it to be a merc |

it could be a friend or an old member or someone who has a grudge against a clan who joins to fight against then leave even if not hired ?

To me, a merc on roblox is someone who was asked to join to help win a certain raid or scrimmage then leave that clan after the job is done |
