It's a lot more worth it to pay more for a Stars game than less for an AHL team. Trust me, I know from experience.

Cheapest (and worst) seats for the Texas Stars are $20, the best ones (at center ice) are $46. Cheapest at the Dallas Stars are $22.
The extra 2 dollars is worth it for sure, it'll be a much better experience. The one AHL game I went to was boring as hell and 90% of seats were empty lol.

AHL games aren't that bad Death. Just depends on who is playing. The last Rampage game that I went to consisted of Mikko Rantanen and Nikita Zadorov for SA. On the opposition, Texas Stars, they had Julius Honka. No where near comparable to an NHL game but the setting is worth the cheap price you pay.
And btw, the Texas Star play in Austin. |

i could see AHL having good games but attendance is generally lacking too much. every OHL game i've been to was way better of an experience for me
