I'd go back in time to when I was around 9 years old, befriend kid!me, and change her for the better (thus changing myself as well - also help family/friends too).
And I'd equip myself with a bunch of future information (i.e. lottery tickets and book/anime/movie spoilers) so I can get rich and become a prophet and stuff.
Sorry but going back too far would be super scary and as much as I'd like to kick Thomas Jefferson or somebody, it'd be a tough life (not to mention everybody talking weird). |

go back to the writing of the constitution, equipped with blueprints for various things that hadn't been invented yet, and a stack of detailed history books
this way the founders have more foresight to the future, and in fact will be able to build devices far before their original invention |
