From: "Welcome to the Internet, I will be your guide!"
"Here on the internet, nobody cares who are you, how old you are, what you do or anything about you in any way, shape or form. Your feelings do not matter, even if you were sitting right next to someone, they would not care one iota about calling you a mean name through a chatroom. Not once would they think: "man, this is really mean, do I want to say something like that to a person?".
If you have problems with other people on the internet calling you names or generally being mean to you, consult this guide:
Step 1) Consider talking to the person in a friendly manner or replying with more banter, you may realize they are merely kidding around.
Step 2) If step one fails, insult the person right back, tell them about the things you and their mother did together.
Step 3) If you are being blown right the hell out by this person, leave the site you are on, or the chatroom you may be in.
Step 4) If you are followed, use any available block and report features at your disposal.
Step 5) If these features do not exist or do not stop the issue, leave the website.
Step 6) If the person manages to track you across websites or you are known to them among many sites, turn off your computer and go outside.
Congratulations, you have successfully learned how to deal with mean or rude insults on the internet!" |
