The race to the playoffs is heating up and I personally do not see a clear front runner in both conferences. But today, I will give an analysis of what makes these OEC teams contenders for the trophy we all play for.
Please note that this is my first OFL analysis forum. Please post suggestions in the replies for my future forums (and for the OWC one that will be released soon).
[OEC Power Rankings]
#1 Korblox Snowhawks: 6-1
#2 Pemberley Punishers: 6-1
#3 Florida FireCats: 5-2
#4 Joston Jackrabbits 4-3
#5 Rockford Raptors: 3-4
#6 Roblox Panthers: 2-5
#7 Rektshire Rattlers: 1-6
#8 Highland Huskies: 1-6
And here we go.
#1 Korblox Snowhawks: 6-1
Starting off first with the Snowhawks. The Snowhawks most definitely have the most skilled roster on paper.. But as of late they have not been performing as well as they should have. Healable struggled vs. the 1-6 Rattlers... Squeaking by a victory to the tune of 28-21. But this team is motivated. After taking bitter losses in the playoffs in both season 7 and season 8, the Snowhawks are out for blood this season. The snowhawks have Bacon, CBOTY candidate Killnijas, MVP/QBOTY candidate Healable, darkstar, skittles, force, and the list goes on. This team is a force to be reckoned with and I personally would not want to play them in the playoffs. I see this team making a historic run this season; but it all rests on the shoulders of Healable. Can he get it done?
#2 Pemberley Punishers: 6-1
Next up is the Punishers. Ah, the Punishers.. Everyone has their own unique opinions about them. Yeah, they may have gotten a bit over confident before taking their loss to Joston *looks at STLOUISAIR*, but do not sleep on them. The Punishers have a very underrated and talented roster. With Treko at QB, sepsius and glovation at WR, and oath at C, they too are the team to beat. Although they struggle defensively at times and treko can make some bad decisions, I expect them to polish this up by the times playoffs arrive.
#3 Florida FireCats: 5-2
Third is FFC. FFC I believe is a good team, but they have some very fundamental issues. Their defense is inconsistent; getting 5 ints one game but 0 the next is not a VB contending defense. I'm not excluded from these mistakes, too. I do make some dumb decisions on offense which result in INTs every now and then. But this team is different than FFC teams of the past. They are focused, humbled, and ready to beat anyone that stands in their way of the Victory Bowl. FFC will be another darkhorse team in the OEC race to the championship.
#4 Joston Jackrabbits 4-3
Don't count Joston out. Joston, although inconsistant, is a contender in this oh so interesting VB race. If Joston is to make the VB and win it this season, they MUST finish out games vs. GOOD teams. Their Punishers victory is impressive indeed, but they need to win out the rest of the season. Joston, is >THE< OEC darkhorse.
#5 Rockford Raptors: 3-4
The Raptors are not the most impressive team in the OEC but they can get the job done.. The Raptors took a heartbreaking loss due to a game winning back-corner dime by Ikios this past weekend. And quite honestly, I wasn't impressed by their performence vs. the Panthers despite how close the game was. On top of that, the Raptors took ANOTHER loss this season to Moxxius' Huskies ALSO due to a game winning hail mary.. Sigh.. Although Raptors are not frontrunners by any means for the OEC bid in the VB, I don't think anyone should underestimate them. V3kt/Look are two newer QBs who do show great potential. They have a roster similar to joston's; not the best on paper, but truly capable of doing great things.. If they can just FINISH their games in the 4th Quarter then I can see the Raptors making a name for themselves in the playoffs.
Panthers: Underrated, but a long-shot to even make the playoffs (correct me if I'm wrong).

Correction: Snowhawks did not make playoffs s8. Oops! Thats all the more reason for them to be out for blood this season though |

For us to make playoffs we have to go atleast 2-1 and have the Raptors go atleast 1-2
We play FFC (welp) Rattlers and Warriors
Raptors play huskies Spartans and Snowhawks

If Panthers win out and Raptors go 1-2 they make playoffs (which is a possible scenario looking at the standings)
