The original purpose of a guest was to try out roblox and see if you want to make an account. (refer to blog post from late 2008)
...but, many guests are abusing the guest feature and playing as a guest nonstop.
Along with this trial, include a tutorial with rules. Follow rules, don't annoy people, etc etc etc
Then after a 1 week trial period, the user can decide if they want a roblox account. If not, they may do the trial again two months later.
This cuts down on the amount of annoying guests, guest complaints and would benefit roblox as well as the part of the community who hates guests.
More trials = more convinced users = more convinced BC users = profit

detect PC specifications and IP
logged data matches to account, specs, and IP? block trial signup for 2 months
besides the kind of people who play as guests are too stupid to bypass this

Interesting concept, but I have one question. Are you saying that in order to create a roblox account, you would have to go through a 1 week trial account?
Also, I feel like guests should be more restricted meaning:
Only can visit a few pre-selected places (randomly changed by the administrators every day)
Cannot use the friend request feature in game
Cannot browse any page besides the Games page.
Also, this idea would fit into yours as well and the restrictions could be included into the trial. |

This would need IP tracking, and since they haven't made an account I don't think ROBLOX are allowed to track their IPs
