When the Mods removed moderation history, it was because people were apparently "showing it off" instead of learning from their mistakes, (the intended use.) There's the same problem, people think that showing their post count on a forum means "superiority" against others. Well, it is quite similar to profile views in the sense that it is (relatively) irrelevant, or somewhat unnecessary, and may even go beyond that point.
Profile views were initially taken out due to their uselessness, as they only pertained to one's visual appeal, and I'd imagine that the same could be applied to one's FPC.
