As we all know, this #### in the game chat is quite annoying in some situations like role plays or team tactics. My solution is that we should just remove the hash tags permanently (or add an option to disable privacy modes). we need everyone to support me if we are to make roblox roblox again. |

Safe chat is made to protect young kids under the age of 13 (like you) from hearing swear words made by other players out in the open, and block any references to them. Therefore having to mute out any misspelled words to get rid of the chance of seeing bad words. Safe chat users will probably NEVER see a swear word, and roblox will not remove this. There are yound players on roblox, and people swear. If a parent sees this, they can sue roblox which would lead to them going bankrupt after many parents sue roblox. So really thing about something before you go on and on about how you don't like things on roblox. Say "Why is this here?" or "What would happen if this was removed?" Anyways, if roblox crashes, ALL of roblox's million dollar ad revenue would crash leading to the great depression all over again! Just online. So for the sake of google, don't ask for this rt be removed, roblox will not even do it if EVERY SINGLE THREAD on EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY said this, they couldn't do it without having you not being able to use the site again. But sure, The first day of non safe chat would be good. But the day after you go to roblox and see "The site is shut down" What will you say then? You will start regretting this and will not be able to do anything to stop it. All of roblox's millions of dollars gone out to family's that wanted to sue them? That's not how I would want my website to end. Put yourself in their shoes. Roblox admins will start living with parent, or on the street because they wont even get paid a penny. Think of seeing Shedletsky all happy right now. And then see him on the side of the road still trying to figure out what happened, where he went wrong. Maybe this long message told you something. That if this happens, the internet would crash. Amazon sends out millions of household objects though. Amazon is on google. People advertise on google. Those people on google advertise on roblox. If roblox crashes, amazon crashes. Which leads to amazon getting sued because they can't afford to refund all of this. Which leads to riots and raids around the country. Robbery around town at banks. Deaths every few seconds because of an accident while raiding someone. This would lead to another real life great depression. And that will make people worse! For all we know it, if this happens, it could end the world. So be thankful for safe chat. Without it, Your house might of been set on fire by the time you finished reading this super long message.

^ Not reading all that, but I did read the first few sentences. If you've answered anything I've said in that message already, then just ignore it.
That's not the issue with the safe chat system. Safe chat is good. The problem is the hashtags. You can't have a conversation with someone because so many words are censored. They're innocent words too! "Hi, can you help me with this? I don't know what to do." would look something like this: "Hi, can you #### me with ####? I #### know #### to do."
In groups I'm in, I've seen so many hashtags from other users and I can't even understand what they're trying to type. The hashtags are ridiculous. Words that should not be censored are censored and it's really just annoying and unnecessary.

This isn't a very good idea in my opinion. Yes, many things getting censored is annoying. But keep in mind ROBLOX is a game for children, and there are many words considered vulgar. Parent's will be a lot more strict when it comes to ROBLOX, due to it being designed specifically for young children.
Also, the censorship is not limited to vulgarity, which is for a good reason. Words that can hint towards people's P-Werd[sic] are also censored, so young children can't give it to scammers. Parents would be furious if they found out their child lost $40 worth of robux to someone on the internet.
Now, let me alter your idea slightly. What people can do is that they can send a confirmation to their e-mail, and if it gets approved, SafeChat will be disabled, to an extent. Due to most children using their parent's e-mail, this CAN work.

I support not because my chat gets filtered much, but other people's chat filters.
It's annoying whenever someone below 13 can't see what I'm saying because it's filtered. Same for when they say something and I can't see what they're saying.

Being over 13 doesn't eliminate the hashtags. It still blocks innocent words and phrases, and in my experience, it does so far more often than it blocks vulgar words, which can be sent under the radar with ridiculous ease just by leaving out or replacing a letter or two.
ROBLOX did just fine before they "enhanced" the chat filters, but now that they have, I don't know about other people, but I'm looking for alternative sites to spend my free time. They get that bad.

The reason is that roblox doesn't want kids telling their age, or sharing their key to scammers. |
