ssbm is a very mechanically deep game
l-cancelling and wavedashing are two main mechanics that totally change the way it is played.
for example, an immobile smash attack can become a speeding game-winner with wavedashing
and l-cancelling really speeds up the game's pace, making camping much less valuable
i generally like ssb4 more because of specific characters, while having a balanced speed between brawl and melee, but melee does have the most depth. |
