Really, now you're trying to make me feel dumb now (another way of continuing the argument)? No, of course they make more money with all the crap they do. But you know what, each ad is only a fraction of a cent. Sponsored things are the only thing they actually get paid a decent amount on. Yes, like I said, it will add up over time, but it's still not as much as everyone thinks. Don't get me wrong, even though they're not actually getting that much from ads, they are still making more than enough money.

Lmao dude, I do know what you know because you just typed it. You think that ROBLOX doesn't generate revenue from ads, but the fact is, they generate lots of it. And yes, if you don't even know what the heck you're talking about, don't argue with somone over it.

Honestly, I see no reason to remove tix, They are not hurting the game. Botting, alts, and inflation are all issues that can be solved with other (less extreme) methods.
Botting can be solved with a little recaptcha anti-botting thing when buying items. And you need one smart bot to get past those, one anyone who is farming roblox login rewards would probably not use.
Alts can be prevented by only allowing one account per IP address and email adress. It would also double with stopping banned players from returning. And if someone is still making alts with these restrictions. then are they really making a profit? because that means buying multiple computers. And that is not a cheap activity.
And inflation could be fought by using more methods to expend tix.
In fact, I would love more things to use tix for. just adding more methods for removing them from your account (making them more useful) can remove them from the economy, lowering the number of tickets total.
If roblox implemented some of these methods, instead of removing the currency altogether, they could fight the issues of the currency, whilst also not alienating majority of the community (NBCers).
But if they do go through with the removal, I best be earning robux, or someone is enabling ad-block. I would not quit over it, I'll still play a game now and then. But I'd definitely never pay any money, I'd rather do it on my own terms, not have it forced out of me. |
