People make mc a bigger deal than it really is, same goes for pretty much any other game, especially Undertale. Mc is placing blocks around so you don't die, Undertale is fighting a bunch of monsters until you win. It's hard to find an actually good game with an actual story.

good gameplay should be more of a priority than good story
but that's how I see it, which is why I play a lot of games that have no story but good gameplay |

@Cat I think both of them should be balanced, such as a game with a story with some bonus missions and free-roam.

A game doesn't necessarily need a story to be good. It's mainly the gameplay, but I think a story gives a better time for the player.

pokemons story is repetitive, and if you don't agree then i don't understand how its not

I would disagree with you but at it is true.
I'm not one of the pokefans who think pokemon is "the perfect video game"
I agree pokemon's story is alittle bad in some games, but I think it gets REAL interesting in B/W or platinum.

Story in a game is like the finishing touch to make a game masterpiece.
I mean a lot of Pokemon Games have a repetitive story, but the gameplay always increases, thats why its praised.
I mean, a game with a bad story and good gameplay isn't a masterpiece or Very good, but its enjoyable
A game with good story and bad gameplay is way less enjoyable than a bad story and good gameplay game.
If i wanted a perfect story, i would just want to buy a book i guess...
I mean, story is important, sure, but it isn't the most important thing into a game.
(Also, what do you mean Undertale don't have an actual story?)

0.1% diff story (but its still the catch them all)
publish and sell
money
makes new game
